Thanks for the reply and the listen as well. Glad you liked the vocal version.
I actually have a few pieces in the hopper that I can really hear the horn on. One I did synth trumpet on that is just begging for a real trumpet. Synth horn leads that are sampled are not so realistic. (At least not on the old TS-10). I never really played 3rd part when I was an active horn player. Can't say I want to stay at this level for too long. All the more incentive to hone my chops so I can play the melodies.
Ah Site reading; Sort of like bike riding. The tough part is the key changes and dealing with 4 sharps and 3 flats in the key signature. Very difficult...

Hope you're doing well. Allot going on musically for me at the moment. I got the horn out of the closet and joined the local symphonic band. This is fun and I'm site reading again. The lead trumpet player also asked me to sit in with a 16 piece local big band. 4 trumpets and I'm at the bottom but, again another challenge. So far if I stick this. will be 4 hours a week playing not including performances and home practice. Wish me luck, I need it 
Also, If you have a chance, please take a listen to a piece I wrote back in March. I was fortunate enough to do a distance colab with an East coast singer. My brother did some drum work on the piece as well. Let me know what you think.
