My name is Marteinn Bjarnar Thordarson and I started in early days at 12 in the Radio Amateur club in Reykjavik. It was then I experienced the possebilities of using radio frequencies for sound creation of any kind. Beside learning the morse code I build my own keyboard and drum machine and started to experiment with frequency oscillations . It was breakthrough when I got the first generation of Atari computers probably one of the first they had in stock in bookstore Braga in Iceland.
That was in early 80's and the first year I didn't came along any midi software. After about one year waiting i finally came over 8 track midi sequencer that i purcased from Holland and realised that the program wasn't more than a bundle of bugs.
A half year later i was visiting Stockholm and found a mysterious underground guitar store deep down below the street. That was like a kicking ass experience when i faced a small computer corner there with 2 atari's and bunce of beta midi softwares around. I was free to copy as many of them as i wanted but just if i would buy floppy disks from the same shop.
Of course that was no problem so i spend the rest of the day in there.
