Title: Synthetic Phobia
I organise sound into something that vaguely resembles music... it floats around in a grey area that encompasses elements of experimental, industrial, ambient and noise
the thing I thought I'd never do: most people that get involved with creating their own music seem to have this desire inside them to be noticed, to stand out from the pack and suck up all the attention they can get. Me? I prefer isolation, fading unnoticed into the background, passing through life more like a thin grey mist than a person. So it seems, especially to me, a bit strange that I'd be open to finally bringing Ghoul Detail out of the shadows as a live experience and performing at a music festival, no less (no hex inducing details yet, not until it's set in stone). And it's not even a "scene" festival. It's what I'd consider a mainstream event, somewhere I'll feel even more out of place than I do in my everyday life
upcoming gig in old London town: Sunday 7th September I'll be performing my guitar duties with ithyphall.brel.gory as part of an evening of experimental audio/visual entertainment at the Limehouse Town Hall

Limehouse Town Hall
646 Commercial Road
LONDON
E14 7HA

there's info about how to get there and all that gubbins on their website at http://twenteenthcentury.com/lth/

Looks like a nice place, definitely the most upmarket venue I'll ever have performed in and somewhat groovier than the usual pub/small club gigs I've been involved in in the past.

I'm struggling to come up with a title for the new album. I think I may have succumbed to album title burnout, which is no real surprise after 63 albums....
if you want to know what's going down in the world of Ghoul Detail: then you're better off checking in at www.myspace.com/ghouldetail regularly because I can't be f***in bothered running 2 blogs... my brain can't handle that shit. I do use profane language quite a lot so if crap like that makes you blush don't bother.

But seeing as you're reading this... if you are... the GD basics are the same as always - lotsa albums coming out all the time on Roil Noise. We're looking at a possible Ghoul Detail tour of the US later this year aswell, something that's new and kind of exciting, in a "shit in your pants" kind of way

In the Beginning, there were stories about the Beginning. None of these stories seemed to make much sense, but still they were much easier to understand than the idea of there being no Beginning. Equally disturbing today is the idea of there being no End.

To be sure - In a sense, there's only one moment. Since all things ( in an infinite existence ) exist simultaneously it seems that there is no need for spacetime. There's no need of Nothing. All things simply Are, Now, period! Yet, here we are, stumbling along a journey through space and time and having a pretty good time being nothing - Nothing at All. And All is Nothing, Nothing at All... Yet All is Nothing, Nothing at All... But All is Nothing, Nothing at All... So All is Nothing, Nothing at All... Help...

Mayday... Mayday... How To Behave At Infinity...? Music...? Play like The Titanic Orchestra did...? Yes! Let's play! Play until... until...

Peace - Johannes.
