It started in the year 2005. I was walking into Intellect Slang's house and heard Phantastik replay a beat he was still tweaking on and add some final touches. I asked him "what's that program called?" and he replied "Sony ACID, I use it to make beats." so when I got home I downloaded it and messed around with it, I'm not gonna lie... I gave up on making beats cuz I didn't know how to loop a sample and make drum patterns. I said "this is freakin' hard to do". I uninstalled it and after a couple of day I decided to use it again and this time, take the time to learn how to use it. Since then I've been making beats and if you listen to my soundclick page and see the last 3 beats on the bottom, those were my first ones... they sound whack compared to my recent ones, so I guess you can say I got better... and I'm still learning to be better. 3 years since and I still have a lot to learn about beatmaking, but I'm enjoying the journey and hope to one day build a business off this, but still keep it grounded with free beats. I'm not out to make millions off my music, just to create a multimedia studio and help people get their media off the ground. Who knows, maybe It'll be a non-profit org, that's my original goal.
