Derrick Mitchell, has been rhyming since the age of 16.His father is the one who got him into music.He was raised on Ice Cube,EPMD,A Tribe Called Quest,2Pac,Rakim,and more.He was always a creative person.He was always into drawing,writing and reading.As he got older, he became attracted to the creative process of music.State of Mind vol.1 mixtape dropped in the summer of 06.In 2007 he put out State of Mind vol.2 .This mixtape contains tracks like "Stay in a Fitted" and "Can’t Bring Me Down". In 2008 he put out his State of Mind vol.3 mixtape. This mixtape contains tracks like "I'm Focused" and "Look at my Kicks". His music is based on his many experiences.He is a person who likes to have a good time so you are going to hear that in his music.He also reflects on some of life’s more deeper situations.Situations that he has been through and situations that the people around him have also been through. He's currently working on his debut album titled "Reality Dreams" with its single "Flashy" already making noise.
