DL Free's SoundClick blog - Letter to RS Continued still
No one associates Mr. Moore or Ms. Smith with the 60’s.
Rolling Stone saw fit to interview two former Beatles and two Rolling Stones instead of just one non-white.
An African American reader must question who is on the editorial staff at Rolling Stone. It would appear that once a white publication has donned the crown of liberalism once, it is not necessary to earn the right to continue wearing it year after year; decade after decade.
I have been a Rolling Stone reader for 20 years and was disappointed that the 40th Anniversary edition lacked racial diversity in its featured interviews. Since this issue is the first of three anniversary special editions, there is still opportunity to demonstrate racial diversity and tolerance within your publication.
