FASCINATINGLY DISTRACTED AMERICA
Fascinating to meet people at the tax desk. That's right. I-man, Free-Man helping working and non-working people file IRS tax returns these days.
No one knows about the changes in federal taxes and mandatory healthcare, (fiscal cliff or ObamaCare). I never say the catch-phrases Obamacare or Fiscal Cliff, but I do tell them the Affordable Healthcare Act requires them to show proof of health insurance next year or be penalized on their Fed Tax Return. I also inform clients that the new IRS tax code was not agreed upon until Jan 1, when the House and Senate finally voted. Hence the IRS did not begin processing returns until Jan 30 instead of Jan 15. Still, people DO NOT CARE.
(Actually, I thought about it. The annual penalty on the tax return is less costly than maintaining health insurance for a year.)
Still the media successfully keeps th epublic attention on the tragedies instead of the topics that have immediate effect on our lives. Gun violence on campus is a lot more exciting than taxes and healthcare. And I am convinced people are so occupied on Facebook and Twitter and/or worried about their GUN RIGHTS that they missed what was going on in 2012 that has REAL FINANCIAL consequences on their lives.

GUN LUNACY: Arming Teachers is Dumb
Formerly a Prison Educator, I have an opinion regarding the recent GUN Frenzy in America.
Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about teachers carrying handguns into the classrooms of schools in Texas. This is lunacy. Is this topic being discussed in your area?
I worked as a teacher in a prison for eight years. The correction officers (prison guards) did not carry handguns. The guns were kept secured in a location only known to security personnel.
Schools might follow the model of prisons in regards to guns.
The reason is simple. A person with a gun becomes a target. If a prison gang decides to take on a guard they will succeed. If the guard is armed with a handgun and is taken down by four or five inmates, then the inmates have a gun.
Same is true in schools.
We have gangs in schools. A teacher with a gun becomes a target.
Four or five likeminded students could easily take down a teacher alone in a classroom. If that teacher is armed, then the students that perpetuated the attack would have a handgun.
There are a myriad of scenarios in which a teacher is alone with small and large groups of students.
A sports coach can’t watch the entire team all of the time. One student athlete comes from behind and knocks him down and another kicks him in the head and a third disarms the coach. The students now have the gun.
A science teacher turns her back for thirty seconds to get supplies from a cabinet and four students rush her. Other students flee but the teacher is now a hostage to four students with a handgun.
Armed teachers, staff and administrators would certainly only escalate gun violence in the public schools as they would be targets for students with bad intent. There are gang members, drug dealers and emotionally and mentally unstable students in public schools. Many schools have thousands of students.
Students that range from 13 to 19 in age could successfully disarm any teacher. So, what would be the solution? Will the same lunatics that want to arm teachers then lobby for every classroom to have an armed guard? Or would handcuffs be better, and placed on every student when they walked onto the campus?
Would deranged sociopathic teenagers assault schools like guerilla fighters? Barricade the school campus, place it under siege and take hostage? Why not? The teachers and staff and administrators would be an armed ‘enemy’ force to be challenged in their minds.
Arming educators is dumb. It is lunacy. Only the fearful, weak and ignorant can believe this is a solution to school security in 2013.
Knowledgeable, thinking, brave and sane people know differently. The word that best describes us is conscientious. Guns should never be permitted on an educational campus.

MASSACRES AMERICAN STYLE
Unless they are in the military young men don’t need guns! They either shoot each other one at a time or . . . . dozens of innocents! Terrible! How many more events like this massacre will the U.S. endure? Do events like this happen in Canada or Europe? I think it is high time we look at some much more successfully non-massacre social models for gun laws and mental treatment plans and the such. We mourn everytime but change nothing. Something has to change! No one mentions the obvious . . . like an elephant in the room. The news media shows all the mugshots of our public massacre killers . . . they all have something in common . . . like an elephant in the room . . . we can see, but won't discuss the obvious. The faces in the mugshots, the weaponry used . . . geee . . . next time I post I will just spell it out. No one else states the obvious . . . Young men don’t need guns!
ALSO: Besides the obvious gun issue. I think the reason CRAZY young black and hispanic men don't shoot up public schools, malls and theaters is because all the CRAZY black and hispanic men are already locked up. Just a hunch I got this morning.

Talking my meditative morning walk, I am as usual in creatively contemplative thought.
I am walking along the sidewalk when a stranger joined me. Being friendly, he asked how my Thanksgiving weekend had been. I replied, “I am so glad it is Monday!” Then I added, “Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday is too much time off. How much football can a man watch?”
He chuckled and then asked, “Well, did you at least get a lot to eat?”
He asked the wrong person. I answered, “People make too big a deal about stuffing themselves. We eat too much. A good meal o good food is more than enough.” The man quickly sped up his pace to walk ahead of me. Perhaps, he sensed I had something to say about the homeless that are starving and those not even homeless but do not have enough to eat.
Hell, maybe if I had been eating all weekend I would have been more agreeable, but I don’t stuff my gut twice in a few hours and gloat about it. That’s just me. And the friendly man certainly would not have wanted to hear my thoughts.
Those thoughts I saved for you: the reader. Billions of dollars are spent by Americans in gluttony and greed in two to three days of ‘celebration’ while millions in America are living in daily hunger, without sufficient clothes and inadequately sheltered or living in sub-standard housing (in this Christian nation). Yes, I had to throw that in: Christian nation. It is more like Christ-Shun nation.

It is just a matter of time before BLACK FRIDAY is going to be proclaimed a true national holiday?
BLACK FRIDAY is the day millions of white Americans stand in line for hours and many will camp overnight TO SPEND MONEY they don’t actually have on Chinese-made goods that THEY DON’T REALLY NEED.
On the day that thousands of white Americans rush Wal-Mart nationwide, pushing and screaming and fighting it is called BLACK FRIDAY. When thousands of black Americans do it, it is called LOOTING.
In the business of finance, banking, commerce and accounting, IN THE BLACK means having money and IN THE RED means lacking money. And so, I think BLACK Friday should be called RED Friday because it is the day millions of Americans go into DEBT.

Which died first in America, THANKSGIVING or CHRISTMAS? Not many truly give thanks to the God of their understanding and still fewer celebrate the birth of Christ. So, the meanings of these holidays are meaningless now. When did the meaning of THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS die in America? Does anyone know the answer? Probably not: because it didn’t happen in any single year. It took time, but only a few decades to erode the society’s moral values to the point that gluttony, false pride and materialism replaced modesty, humbleness and spirituality for the millions of Americans. Yes – I said it on 111-26-2012, inspired by the video of six people fighting over a TV in a box at a Best Buy store.
If ignorance is bliss, then America must be Heaven. In the land where Easter means rabbits hide chocolate eggs, I exercise my freedom of speech. Please accept my apologies if I seem to proselytize. I am not.

AS I PONDER THE MEANING OF LIFE I FIND
"God doesn't work in mysterious ways. God just works. And because of God working all the time, God owes nothing to anyone of us. God is debt free. God doesn't owe anyone. Remember that when you pray for yourself and others. God is busy at work." DL Free 11-14-2012

"God does not work in mysterious ways. God's work is transparent and immediate. It is our acceptance of the truth that is slow, baffling and mysterious." DL Free 11-12-2012

I bet that CLAPTON, DYLAN, HENDRIX, and many more would have never made it on American Idol, The Voice or the X-Factor. Thank God these TV contests were not around in the 1960’s. the best rock music ever would have never been heard. Maybe John Fogerty of CCR would have stood a chance. I can just hear one of the judges telling Robert Plant that he sounds a little pitchy.

Americans in cars are funny. People in general with cars are funny too. I have been a pedestrian the past four years. I seldom go further than I can walk. It is not unusual that I may walk as much as ten miles a day. Meanwhile, I have seen people with cars get in their car and drive two blocks to pick up a quart of milk.
Being a pedestrian connects me to my human self in a way that my ancestors not long ago connected to their human strengths and weaknesses. It was not all that long ago (50-60 years) when a car was a luxury. Most Americans today, can’t imagine life without a car. The very idea of walking a mile or two has to be about losing weight: a ‘plan’ to get in shape; to not be obese.
Walking is work and so a car is a necessity.
Not only a necessity but the car is an extension of the person’s self image. Think about that. It is kind of strange but we accept it as normal. Americans see a large truck or a small sports car as what they want to be seen in and associated with to impress and project who they are.
I am reminded of an opening scene in a movie called Fistful of Dollars in which the Hollywood icon, Clint Eastwood makes his appearance in the movie riding a donkey. In western movies this was unheard of. The hero always rode a beautiful and extremely smart horse.
In today’s America, many people would feel shame to be seen in a ‘donkey’ of a car.

Author Davis La Vere has a book published that is historically fascinating. Simply reading about the culture of peoples named Caddo, Kickapoo, Atakapas alongside the more familiar tribal names of Kiowa, Choctaw and Commanche is enlightening. How trade and interaction with Apache, Pueblo tribes and the Spanish and French cultures dating back to 1540, 1640 and 1740 creates a history that staggers the imagination.

Lakota: Native American activist Russell Means
(Excerpt from interview with Russell Means) Complete interview posted at http://wariscrime.com/new/russell-means-if-americans-want-to-join-the-lakota-we-welcome-them/

RM: The United States is a fake country that has no culture. It’s easy to manipulate such a country, and to channel its people. The U.S. has a façade shown to the rest of the world, but few know of its reverse side as thoroughly as Indians do. The picture people see is not the reality of today’s United States. Even the President who’s in office today wasn’t really elected, like back in the year 2000. Young people certainly strive to get here to achieve their dreams. But really anyone coming only has one reason: they want to become rich and successful, and they want to get their opportunities [to succeed]. Once you talk to them you realize they don’t even dream of anything beyond money-making. This was the reason Europeans came here. This is the principle of the American life. The world is sick and tired of American prosperity. The world is waking up.

RT: You have declared the Republic of Lakotah’s independent from the United States. What has the response been like?

RM: The world has shown a great response that’s been growing by the day. Thanks to the internet, we see how keen people are about our freedom. A large number of people support us, and welcome us. People are vividly interested in our independence. The world understands us; while the US government doesn’t.

RT: Who’s been supporting you?

RM: People don’t merely support us; thousands of people demonstrate their willingness to come to the Republic of Lakotah. Unlike the unfortunate refugees fleeing to the U.S., those willing to join us are highly qualified professionals – doctors, lawyers, professors, teachers, scientists, various profile engineers, computer specialists, farmers. When people employ their minds they understand the meaning, and value, and the true meaning of freedom. We’re excited about anyone. If Americans want to join us we welcome them as well. The Lakota are a free people in their free country. The global situation has never been more favorable for us.

RT: There’s a notion that Native Americans are now running casinos in their reservations, and making huge profits from them.

RM: Casinos are legalized robbery. Only weak-minded and weak-spirited would want to spend their time playing in them. There won’t be any casinos in the Republic of Lakotah. We don’t want people to be robbed under a pretext that this kind of business is profitable for a tribe.

HEART LIGHT PRODUCTION VIDEOS on YouTube
Reviewed by DL Free, Songwriter/Musician and Artist (September 2012)

Artist and Writer, Brad Reynolds has been working in the medium of Music Video Production the past two years or more. His insight and soulfulness expressed in each of his videos is brilliant. The videos truly are beautiful. Mr Reynolds is posting these videos on YouTube and can be found in a search for Heart Light Production.
In his latest video production (released Sept. 18, 2012), Brad Reynolds chose Hear My Train A-Coming by Jimi Hendrix. Images of trains in motion are inevitable but his selections of Hendrix in performance and the collages of Eastern spiritual art, galactic spheres, planets and short glimpses of the times in which Hendrix lived are what makes this video exceptionally insightful. It ties the journey of one man’s artistry to our common human political-social existence with the spiritual and to the universe’s magnificently extensive and evolving reality.
What Mr. Reynolds is accomplishing is astounding as he creates visual compositions that seemingly embrace the composition of the music being appreciated and revered (honored).
The selection of musicians he chooses to represent are all exemplary. Amongst them is Jon Anderson, Robbie Robertson, John Lennon and the virtuoso Jimi Hendrix, or as Mr. Reynolds likes to say the master musician, shaman and Voodoo Chile Prophet of the New Age.
Spiritual leader, teacher, writer and artist, Adi Da is also featured in Heart Light videos. He was critical in shaping the philosophical perspective of many, including Mr. Reynolds, and that philosophy being the awareness that the purpose of human life is spiritual enlightenment.
I have known Brad Reynolds for thirty years. It is amazing that we have remained close friends through all that time despite residing in different locations on the planet. Actually, I don’t think I have seen Brad in twenty years but he remains my closest confidant and sounding board (thanks to the Worldwide Web) as he stands firm in his belief that all that matters in human life is spiritual growth.
I encourage everyone with a spirit to view Heart Light Production videos on YouTube. And as Brad likes to always encourage, turn down the lights and turn up the music loud for a transformational meditation experience.

AGE OF REASON
Franklin and Jefferson were Deists. Deist is a natural religion and is not a "revealed" religion. (The natural religion/philosophy of Deism frees those who embrace it from the inconsistencies of superstition and the negativity of fear that are so strongly represented in all of the "revealed" religions such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam.)
The great author of Deist thought was Thomas Payne and his book The Age of Reason is highly recommended reading for any person of any particular faith in understanding the religious philosophy. http://www.deism.com/theageofreason.htm

SON OF A SLAVE OR SON OF JEFFERSON?
STATEMENT: Despite the fact that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves for his entire life and had an affair with his slave Sally Hemings (a relationship that resulted in five children), he was against the institution (of slavery).
FREE’S COMMENT: YEAH, Right!

STATEMENT: Sally Hemings: African-American slave; believed to have been the mistress of Thomas Jefferson. Born in 1773 in Virginia, Hemings was the youngest of six children born to Elizabeth (Betty) Hemings, a slave of (Get Ready) African and European descent; her probable given name was Sarah. (CONTINUE READING) Sally Hemings' father was allegedly her mother's owner, John Wayles, a white lawyer and slave trader of English descent who had emigrated to Virginia.

Wayles was also the father of Martha Wayles (Skelton) Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson's wife, Hemings and Martha Jefferson were believed to have been half-sisters.
FREE’S COMMENT: THAT IS SOME SICK SHIT? HALF SISTER WIVES SLAVE OWNER BLACK BABY MAKERS et al.

STATEMENT: Sally Hemings was a slave owned by U.S. President Thomas Jefferson, who after his wife's death became his concubine and bore his children. The rumored relationship began to circulate during the 1790s. Of Heming's seven children, only four lived to adulthood. Jefferson freed all of her children from slavery, but never freed Hemings herself.
FREE’S COMMENT: I BELIEVE.

Why is a slave portrayed as 3/5ths of a person in the US Constitution? THIS not a JOKE!!!

The controversy surrounding Jefferson probably comes from the fact that he did not believe that Jesus Christ was divine.

John Quincy Adams remarked, "The election of Mr. Jefferson to the presidency was, upon sectional feelings, the triumph of the South over the North — of the slave representation over the purely free."
