I once sought spiritual enlightenment through the study of various philosophies of thought, spiritual teachings, right diet and meditation. Then one traumatic experience led me to dismiss this higher path. I became depraved; a man seeking material gain over spiritual growth, I sought to take rather than give and with that I ceased receiving love and seeing blessings in life.
Many years ago, a friend I came to love said, "I am here to return you to yourself." I had an inkling of what she meant but I was too far gone. I saw no way to return to one that rejoiced the blessings of the divine.
Now again, I seek to cleanse my mind, body and spirit. And it feels right.
