I started writing 10 years ago and am easily inspired either by personal experiences, things said in conversation, being given a challenge, or being moved or amused by something.
MY WORKING LIFE has been as varied as my music.
When young I was a qualified ballet teacher with my own school for about 6 years while working as receptionist for an Architect.
Other jobs have included Voluntary Probation Officer with the Police, North West Recruitment Co-Ordinator for an NVQ Training company, and production worker in a mentholated sweets factory!
Those I'm truly grateful to for collaborating are on the slideshow below.
Thanks again for being here.

Hi Carol,
What a brill review you wrote for Wagon full of Nuts, it was so good to read Thanks again for always being so supportive and keeping in touch, I just read Pine's comment on your board and he's right, where do the years fly? Soundclick was our first musical home on the net and mostly everyone we met in 2005/06 is still here which is nice as it does feel like a big happy family and things have always stayed that way, somehow getting a nice review here means more doesn't it.
Anyway we hope you're still enjoying life in the country and we send our best wishes & a hug as always
Love from Maria & Paul xx

Carol, thank you so much for dropping by. I am still very busy with the house building, away a lot, it's always nice to come home and visit with friends. About our collab, "Snowflake in a Flame" it's success is due to your abilities as a songwriter, you are one of the best and I appreciate the talent of writing mature and intelligent lyrics and music as you do. The song has a life of it's own, it's way down my list and yet it's loved by so many. And with every successful song, there's an element of jealousy by certain members here at SC whether it's taste or simply trying to get ahead in the charts, there's an immaturity which is so distasteful as demonstrated by one star ratings. It's good that it's overshadowed by so many 5 and 4 stars, but that's life in this dog eat dog world which we live in. Hope you're having a great summer, thank you for keeping in touch my friend.

[last edited on Tue Jun 30, 2009 @ 11:14 AM] Hi Carol...Wonderful to hear from you..wherever do the years go? Seems like Life's River is picking up speed. Thanks for adding my song to your station...your ol' dad was right on. I'm crowdin' 60 and i still struggle with finding moderation at times...but not as often :-)
Hope you are well and that when the cold north wind comes sweeping back down i can find more time to listen to the great work of my fellow artists...like you!
Left you stars on this wonderful song, Time Moved On..excellent!

Hi Carol, Greetings from Minnesota... Thank you for your comments on "Plant Flowers I Can See"...Yes, this is fitting for any and all wars and any country on Earth. It's of sadness true... but it is also reality in a huge huge way. I can't say why I wrote it but it came to me and an hour later I was done after I got passed the tears of singing it. I appreciate your kindness always and the sincerity by which you express it! Thank you..... BOB

Hi Carol, I don't know how to thank you, you've always been there for me and I'm very proud of our collab, "Snowflake in a Flame" it's one of the highlights and still lives at the top of the charts, even though it's down on the list of songs. It has to do with the incredible lyrics you wrote, on a subject not too many people have written, the subject of life. Which brings me to my new song, such is life in a "Slightly Tainted World" thank you so much for putting it on your station.
You're the greatest friend anyone can have, and I'm honoured.

Hi Carol, it's been a while for sure. I'm back now for good, at least until the spring and once again I must turn my focus to music. It's been a long and working season, mostly away, what should have been a holiday, it feels like I'm on holidays right now at home. The place is really shaping up though, will send you a pic, another season and it should be done, mostly the interior.
I'm in good company here, as I see Maria below me...hehehe missed her too, she's so awsome as well.

Hi Carol,
thanks for your lovely message on myspace, I must get back there to reply but I'm catching up on S/click at the moment, haven't been here for so long and finding everyone has so many new songs it's hard to find time to hear them all but it's a lot of fun and always amazes me what a wealth of talent there is here! I couldn't get 'two grand wager' to play by clicking the link on the music page, it's great, knew it would be, you & ST together, a great combination & the track romps along solid as a rock!
OK must dash but have a happy week & all our best
Love from M&P xx

Hiya Carol...Thanks for adding Hayride to your private station. It's funny..the songs that i work on the least and sorta just "happen" seem to be the ones that folks always enjoy the most. I love those old mountain instruments...just got a dulcimer and hope to start writing and recording again when Winter hits. I am on a 9 month dry spell!! Hope all is well with you...enjoyed your slide show and videos..
peace & good health.....Pinedog
