Well known to key together melodies, harmony, and chords with various instrumental sound effects (usually the piano key,)
the keyboard is his venue. Booq was born and raised in the city of Chicago where the best of Hip-Hop, R&B, old school, and jazz music
took into ear. Now he lives at Oxford, Mississippi where blues and singing was a big deal. He picked up from a lot of different genres and cultural music.

His name "BooqBeatz" was given to him by his circle of friends throughout his school years when his last name was used
more than his first. He replaced the "K" in "Book" with "Q" it signifies "adjustment".
"If it needs work, why buy a new one when you can mess around with it until it works just as good as before?"
He referred to various things such as computers, speakers, instruments, ect and now he applies it to his own music.

Booq had begun his beat-making days in 2007 and has been making hundreds of instrumentals for his own entertainment.
However, now his intentions are to strictly be THE producer and assist artist to rise higher in their levels of skill and be heard.
BooqBeatz is the new found member of a local Chicago up and coming label called "YSF" (Young'n So Fresh)
