Of course I have visited the concert and really enjoyed it. Pain sang my favourite The Same Old Song. Nightwish was great, just Annette murdered the perfomance with her pop vocal. She is not a bad singer - but pop singer, and her voice is not for this music. Besides this she is about 40 but tries to lool like a baby, jumping in short dresses and singing with a childish voice. It is awful. I understand that Tuomas maybe was tired from heavy dramatic soprano of Tarja and wanted something different. But he could create another, pop-project and take Annette there. Or maybe he was looking for more popularity? But it was obviously a wrong way. So all time I tried to imagine another vocal with this music.

Have watched "Interview with the Vampire". Masterpiece. Very dramatic movie. Vampires are so real, and every of them has his personal tragedy. Especially the girl which can't become adult. Unexpected finale with the journalist. Sure he will be a vampire too.

I had a funny dream that I am looking for a vocalist. Many girls came to audition and sing. I liked 2-3 of them and asked to sing one more song.
Suddenly Tarja Turunen appeared and exclaimed:"These girls can't sing! You need me!"

Just have watched "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". Great fairytale, charming talented actors, funny love affairs, very beautiful gothic atmosphere.

Yesterday I have visuted the concert in Luzniki. It was magic, like a journey to another world. Capacity crowd, excellent music, light, great sound, atmosphere, real rock drive during more than 2 hours!

Though there were no show, and musicians didn't run around the stage shaking hairs which was unusual - but it was not so important with such professional level, sure they concentrated on the complicated music and wanted audience to focus on it too.

The only thing which I liked not so much was a vocalist. He is not bad but such great and famous band deserves somebody really special... maybe a female-singer, at least they need back vocals. Though maybe they don't want to take a remarkable vocalist who would deflect attention away from virtuosic playing?



In any case I am very happy that have heard Dream Theater, the icon of progressive metal!

Just have watched a great horror movie Abandoned about an american woman Mary which was looking for her past in Russia. In the old abandoned house she met her brother, ghosts and has found death. The movie reminded me of Blair Witch project. Good horror. Don't come to Russia, it is very dangerous place!

Of course I have watched the movie and really enjoyed it! It's a masterpiece, very strong, dymanic, with wonderful sights of Rome and Vatican and a great idea which makes to muse - about complex relations of science and religion.

The book is devoted to Goth bands from all over the world.

In the end I managed to find and watch the movie. I have heard a lot about it before that it is the best scary film in the world. So I was very curious.
Really enjoyed it... and also the site - www.blairwitch.com with Heather's Journal.
Though there are some things which I didn't like:
1. The legend about the witch is so funny and improbable, I wonder how anyone could believe in it.
2. The filmmakers shoot so amateurishly for students of cinema school, they really can't keep a camera in their hands. Their material is not interesting.
3. It is not really a horror movie, there is almost no horror at all. Maybe just some episodes, especially final in the deserted house.
4. The movie is too short, they obviously could add 20 minutes and more horror scenes.
In spite of it, the movie is good, because it is very psychologically authentic. The actors play so well especially Heather - which is so bright and strong leader, and her companions - just weak helpless boys. I am surprised why did she choose them for the project - they can't really shoot and don't respect and help her, just blame... Maybe she just didn't want to be alone though sure she could shoot the movie alone and even better.
So in the end I felt sorry just about Heather...
I think it would be more interesting if she proved to be a witch who specially led the boys to the house.

Just listened to her, watched some clips... Interesting, beautiful woman, special voice... Much in common with Nina Hagen.

Today have seen the movie directed by Russian-American filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, action with Angelina Jolie. Really enjoyed it, Timur is very talented, and Angelina is great and beautiful like usually and even better. Much in common with Matrix and Mr and Mrs Smith. Very good effects. Especially I liked the event with a train falling into abyss.

Recently I have bought some new CDs and enjoy now:

Really great! I had a strong feeling that it is something modern like rock or metal with the powerful sound of symphonic orchestra
and agressive voices... The singers were very good (heroic tenors and soprano) though there were no names so I don't know who it was...

Debussy - just nice and very pleasant music for relax, especially like piano

Angela Gheorgiu (Rumanian soprano) - very beautiful strong voice, she can do so complex things, adore her singing, Casta Diva is lonely. I don't know why everyone compares her to Maria Callas, she is so great herself. I am not fond of Callas.

Saturday night I had a dream about Tarja Turunen, it was so bright that I'll never forget it.
I was at place where she lives (not sure what city and country), in her own CD shop. I looked at CDs and asked how to find her. Somebody told me.
Next moment I was waiting for Tarja sitting on the floor in a big hall. I noticed her, stood up and said:"Do you have a minute? Could I ask you some questions?"
Tarja stopped.
I asked if she is going to leave music and make career in another field.
She was surprised and asked if it was me in the shop. I answered yes.
Suddenly she looked at me with love and kissed my lips.
And I was awaken with taste of her sweet kiss...
That dream was so real that I wonder maybe it was true? And our souls really met? If yes does she remember the meeting?

Last week we came back from Italy. It was a nice trip, really enjoyed beauty of nature, especially loved Apennines - for the first time I could see mountains with white clouds...
We have visited Rome, Vatikan, Florence, Venice, Piza, Siena, Loreto and San Marino.
We have admired ancient architecture (Coliseum, thermae, etc.) and art, gothic catholic cathedrals... Italy keeps a lot of treasures, and everyone should see them at least once...
The weather during our journey was lovely - sunny but not too hot. And only close to the end of the trip one day had happened cold and rainy (that day we had excursion to Piza and had to hide from rain in a cathedral).
In the evening we went to opera Traviata in a small English church of Florence. The show had finished late night, and when we went to the street there was an awful thunder storm with downpour. We were upset because our hotel was about an hour on foot from the church, we had no money to take a taxi and in any case no taxi around. It was clear that when we'll come to hotel we'll get wet and catch a cold. In despair I screamed loudly:"Hey, rain, do you have a conscience?!! Stop immediately!!! We don't need rain in Italy, we need good weather!!!"
And...2 or 3 minutes later thunder storm has calmed down, the shower turned into a very little rain which finished soon too. So when we came to hotel we were almost not wet and after a glass of Chianti felt fine.
Next morning was grey but not rainy, and when we came to Venice the weather became perfect - the sun, blue sky and very pleasant warm wind...

Recently I have found a nice Russian esoteric forum with a lot of interesting information where psychics made diagnostics of aura by photo. They could identify malefice, magic ability, etc. I put there my photo and asked to make diagnostics. Some days later I visited the forum and was surprised - a lot of views but no comments... A week later I came there again and have found that the forum was closed, and all informatiion was deleted! It seems that the psychics were very scared of my photo and aura...))

Have watched it yesterday.
Well, Tim Burton is Tim Burton, he is always great and Johnny Depp is really handsome with the gothic make-up, he looks more mature here. Great gothic atmospere, colours, the movie is very beautiful. Though I'd prefer happy-end...

My second singer was Kate... I still love her voice very much, she is classically trained like Tarja Turunen from Nightwish, has got higher education, learned vocals 9 years... I admire her voice and since we've met my vocals got some in common with hers... it became deeper and more interesting.
But, if all seemed to be fine in the beginning, soon it changed...
I think it was that evening when she came to my home studio and we recorded a track Love never dies... She showed me how to drink absinth (with fire), and after this I sang this song myself, I came into ecstasy and removed to another world - world of the song, it seemed to me I stand in a witch's circle. The voice which I sang was mixed - Kate's and mine. Kate was shocked. She asked why I need her if I can sing like this...
After this she refused to come to me during 2 weeks.
When we met she was strange and I understood that like My Angel before Kate is scared of me though tries to hide it.
After our next meeting (we were at home of guitarist) she asked if it seems to her or not that I began to sing better since we met ? I said yes and thanked her.
We met again on Sunday and I am not sure if I'll see her again...
I called her but she said she is tired and has many things to do so can't come, I insisted and promised that she will feel better when will come to me. Kate asked:
- Do you conjure?
I laugh:
- Yes I do!
- I ask you seriously!
The question surprised me. In the end she came but looked very strange, refused to drink anything except a drink which she brought with her.
- Do you think I am going to poison you? - I asked.
She kept silence.
- Why did you ask if I conjure?
- Because it seems to me you can do this.
- Kate, are you afraid of me?
She said yes... I was shocked. My Angel was scared of me, now Kate is scared of me, do I look like a monster?
I told her that I can conjure but prefer to pray, that I believe in God, that music is my mission which I got from Heaven... I told her story of my life. She said that understand better now what happens to her and why she feels so strange.
After this we went to my studio. She was very scared, pale, stood in a corner and couldn't speak... She tried to sing but after one time stopped. She said that wants to talk to me but couldn't tell a word... I was scared myself to look at her and wanted to cry... I didn't want to lose Kate.
She left my house, I embraced her and advised to think and accept all this while she will be out of town. I do hope she will come back and we'll be together... Kate, I really need you and your wonderful voice. Please don't be afraid of me, I love you, please come back!!!
