Texas born, Austinite, steeped in Texas Blues, but being a city-boy I sold my horse for a Les Paul and took on the challenge of rock guitar. The day Randy Rhoads died was a big-loss day for the world, only to be surpassed by Stevie's (MENTAL NOTE: AIRPLANES AND GUITARPLAYERS DON'T MIX). The day I heard Rush's Permanent Waves record was a monumental day. Walls came down...then there was the Wall album (and movie).
To see a guy like Billy Gibbons churn or EVH play with all 12 fingers...there was much to be learned. And so I became, and still am, a Disciple of Sound.
I am into high-end Technology as a line of work, allowing me to work from anywhere ( tour with you, anyone?? ) and fund my artistic endeavor.
I've been a lyricist for many years, to boot, having a background seethed in the arts. I'm a big fan of good grammar.

Don't Go For The Bananas:
The story goes that a certain number of monkeys are placed in a large cage. From the ceiling of the cage hangs a bunch of bananas with a stepladder underneath. Being monkeys, they decide they want the bananas. As the first monkey rushes up the ladder, he is knocked off by a blast of cold water from a fire hose, and all the other monkeys are hosed down as well. Shocked, they sit back and regroup. Soon another monkey tries with the same result. After repeated attempts by each monkey they become conditioned not to go for the bananas and the fire hose is taken away.
One of the original monkeys is removed and a new monkey is added to the group. He spies the bananas and leaps onto the ladder, o...

I'm scared...I'll admit it.:
This is all so freaky. But kind of cathartic, in that I've been looking forward to that day when something magical happens, despite my lack of effort. Well, I guess, knowing that magic is in every breath, we just can't sit around and wait for it....hoping our way through the bad stuff, and recycling the old behaviors over and over , with the same result.
There.
I've defined instanity.

Hey,
I wanted to let you know that I just posted a new song that I think you will enjoy.
Not really very new though. It was written in 1847. LOL
It's an old Christmas standard.
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noel)

Or just click the pic.
I hope I did the song justice.
I'd appreciate it if you could give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.
Thanks for your support.

P.S. I had to seriously rush the song to get it posted for Halloween so don't expect perfection. I'm sure I'll wind up going back and working on this one in the future.
Enjoy

Hey,
How's it going? I've been pretty busy myself.
I wanted to let you know that I uploaded a new song called:
"Without You (Ballad of Dona)"
It's actually a previously unpublished song written by my brother Paul back in the 80's. Don't let the title fool you. It's not your everyday ballad.
I'd appreciate it if you could take it for a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

I also have given "Slay the Dragon" a complete re-mix. If you liked it before I think you'll really like it now. Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer.
All of my songs have been recently re-mastered for more dynamic range and a less fatiguing sound. Hopefully this will result in a more pleasant listening experience for all.
More songs coming soon!
Thank you for your support.

Hey,
I just uploaded a brand new song called Saturday Night. This one is something a little different from me. No smoking guitar solo but plenty of other goodies. I think it turned out pretty good. I'd appreciate it if you would give it a spin when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

Along with his rhythm guitar work I added my usual guitar work and backing vocals. If you can please leave a comment so we can see how we did.

Hi. Saw your comment about (my comment about) the Asturias recording at SE III page. Ok, now I know it's by John Williams, but why SE III would post that is still a mistery.
Listened to a couple of your songs. Difficult for me. Normally I distaste metal, distaste Rush. Your progressive metal has something, almost made reconcile with metal. Datum. Will have to listen again. Hope you can take criticism. Datum has a lot of progressive potential, but is lacking more internal contrast, maybe dynamic variation, to be truly progressive. Outstanding effort anyway. Progressive rock is the most difficult genre there is.

Hey,
I just uploaded a new and shiny Blues tune called "Seven Hundred Miles From Nowhere" featuring Jolee on the vocals. I think you're going to like it. Like I said, very new and shiny.
It is the result of several weeks of collaboration between Jolee and myself. It was her first slow blues song and my first collab so it was quite a challenge for both of us.
If you get a chance swing by, give it a spin and let me know what you think.

Hi,
I updated "The Hangman" and "Slay the Dragon" with what I hope is an improved sound. I added some sizzle, cut back some of the mud, boosted the vocals up some and made a few other adjustments. I hope I didn't mess up.
If you get a chance I'd appreciate it if you could give them a spin and let me know if I totally screwed up or what. They sound better to me but four ears are better than two. Thanks in advance.
I'm currently working on a collaboration with another SC artist that's sure to take a few people by surprise so stay tuned for that. I'll let you know when it's up.
