Michael Ruiz, A.K.A 1 M.I.C (One Man In Control) was born July 19, 1989 and was raised in the northwest side of San Antonio, Texas. Still in high school, he doesn’t treat his rapping career as a hobby, but as a passion that he is determined to succeed in. Unexposed to rap until 13 years old, He quickly grew a love for the music and since then has explored every aspect of it. By 14, he was infatuated with the music and starting writing his own works. His first battle took place over internet forums. After a 5 month period of battling he expanded to writing short songs and poems. For over a year 1 M.I.C continued to battle and write songs. By 16 he was trying his had at recording. Not finding his style immediately, he was determined to improve. That drive still lies within him. With every track, every verse, every line, he finds himself improving. From dropping bars to impress his friends to stepping in cyphers, he is determined to let everyone know he’s about his music.Currently working on his debut album “Through Heaven and Hell” and numerous mixtape tracks, expect nothing but the best from him.
