Listening to back to some of my old recordings, I didn't realise how much of a one man, Be Bop Deluxe/Bill tribute act I'd become. Well, it's hardly surprising I guess. :)

Gigging...I was always fearful of getting my gear stolen or damaged or beer spilled on it... or electrocuted from a live mike!
Some pubs were 'a bit rough' and noisy.
There was a decent music scene in Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield back then.
Late nights and then sometimes work in the morning...but typically it was a Friday or a Saturday. We didn't play that many gigs actually in the grand scheme of things...but yes, playing live is quite a thrill.

Hi Steve, thanks for listening to both. I much prefer the version with the Rickenbacker growling its way through it.
Dolce Vita was a great band. I tried to steer it on a course half way between XTC and Be Bop Deluxe. Listening to it now, I think I almost succeeded in doing that. We certainly sounded like an 'eighties', band.
Great times.

Hi Steve. Thanks so much for the listens. Whenever i do a track i never know what to call them. Sometimes as they come together a title springs to mind like 'Easy' did. Glad you could see that too. Looking forward to your next release and let me know when it's up, please.

Hi Steve, I have a new song on my page...Waiting For A sign Of Life.
Quite a story behind this one...43 years later!
We messed around with it in rehearsals between the other songs that were in our set list... but we never finished it. I wasn't one of the main songwriters in the band at that time ... I was the George Harrison of the band....my own songs got a little overlooked ;)
Hope you enjoy the definite 80s feel of it. Yep, it's been a long time getting to be recorded ;)

Cheers Steve re; comments on Mac cover and you're totally right about the acrimony and feeling of dread that would have existed in the studio during that period (I always felt sorry for Mick having to skipper that boat, lol) - Classic Albums (UK doco team) did brilliant making of Rumours episode, which had Stevie and Ken Caillat back there 20 years later going through the master tapes and separate tracks, magic! Thanks again!

Hey Steve, we did 'go your own way' about 2 years ago (band version) but I've done a pared back mix, just guitar and vocals, if you've got time, thanks!

Hi Steve. I have a new one up: "Keep your cool!". A bit of PopRock, about knowing when to leave an environment that is not good for you.. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=15036058 Take care!
