LITTLE OF PERCEPTION
Sep 3, 2013
“Our way of life is more fragile than we wish to believe because what we think of as it basis is absent or at least far from certain (according to Immanuel Kant).” (Motohide Saji 2009) It compares to Socrates that we really don’t know anything for certain at all. Since we do not register information on time meaning our perception is always delayed because of the time it took for the experience to take place. What humans can assume they know for certain, such as existence, God and physical laws, is largely based on human perception, cognition and consciousness. “Research in the human sciences aims to examine and deepen our understanding of the human world” (Motohide Saji 2009) In the junk yard of science called Philosophy, people are coming up with new studies in order for better understanding of the natural or human world. ? Human Perception and Cognition The limits of human perception are based on what we can see and what we can feel. As far as our perspective from the standpoint of the electrical magnetic spectrum, humans perceive a miniscule amount of the universe around. If the electromagnetic spectrum stretches from Los Angeles to New York, then the amount of visible light perceived by humans could be represented by a particle of sand in New York City. So, humans perceive only a small amount of their surroundings in terms of how energy flows in waves and how light is visible to us in accordance with the electromagnetic spectrum. Though the evolution of human beings and technology, humans have been able to develop a better understanding of human perception in terms of science and philosophy. Humans’ limited perception of the universe can be also understood beyond the point of the electromagnetic spectrum. The structure of the atom indicates how limited human perception of the universe actually is. Because most of the atom is empty space and because the electrons inside the atom create an illusion of a concrete substance around the nucleus, what humans perceive around them is largely distorted wherein most of the universe consists of empty space. In fact, most of the energy of the universe consists of dark energy that is all around and inside everything, but it is not fully understood in today’s science. Likewise, most matter in the universe is dark matter which is all around us and cannot be completely detected by today’s technology. To make the structure of the universe even more so complicated, the universe equally consists of anti-matter, which particles that balance the matter particles and seemingly jump in and out of this universe. The anti-matter particles are based on theory in science. But all knowledge is theory, thus the paradigm of matter, the universe, human perception and consciousness becomes more evident. Thus, the only sufficient information obtained is that human perception of the universe is certainty limited. On a grand scale of the universe, human perception is almost nonexistent. Furthermore, ideas from particle and quantum physics like string theory suggests that human perception is even more distorted and even less can be known. String theory suggests that there are multiple universes and all particles within this universe vibrate in and out of the universe. So therefore, the actuality of the universe cannot be perceived by humans without some sort of evolution of being. The human perception is illusion because of the way the information is relayed from neuron meaning nervous system may dilute the senses and create a delusion. The way we interpret is based upon the accuracy of the nervous system including senses. “Having shown the existence of certain limits of our comprehension, the present analysis suggest that the research can complicate and enrich itself by reflecting further on these and other possible limits as well as the nature of these limits.” (Motohide Saji 200

EPISTEMOLOGY AND PHILOSOPHY
Sep 3, 2013
Epistemology: The Study of Knowing Nothing As a branch of Philosophy, epistemology is study of the origin, nature, means and limits of human knowledge. Epistemology is rooted in Greek Philosophy where “Plato used Socrates ideas to help create the field of epistemology.” (Havelock 1934) According to modern science, there are four perimeters for knowledge regarded as critical thinking which are falsifiability, logic, replicability and sufficiency. Critical thinking helps humans justify what they know. Cognition is similar to justifying what one knows through critical thinking. In other words, cognition leads to the justification of absolute truths for humans to know in the human condition. Cognition develops directly with human perception. The process of being cognitive of one’s complete perception is practically impossible, but for one to be cognitive of one’s limited perception is human consciousness in essence. The certainty of what humans can know, the justification of that certainty, the limits of human perception and cognition, and human consciousness and where it is heading all depends upon each other. Due to the limits of human perception and cognition and despite sufficiency and logic, human consciousness or anything that humans ascertain that they know for certain is nowhere near certain at all; but if what humans think they know for certain is true, then human consciousness, perception and cognition are evolving to a higher state to further justify clarify the knowledge from the distorted human experience. Certainty and Justification “In sociohistorical inquiry, no epistemology prevails as a widely excepted as account for knowledge. (Hall 1990) Scientists do not have all the answers that lead us to what is certain and justification of that certainty. We are still exploring what is for certain by using Philosophy to justify what a person perceives as certain with justification of why it is certain. Everyone has a view of what they consider to be certain, but reality is we are more distorted than actually know and almost completely unaware of what is going on around us. For the most part, humans can know for certain ultimately one thing: existence. The arguments for existence are usually Physicalism and Realism. The arguments against existence are on the basis of complexity of perception, cognition and consciousness. From the experience of existence, humans can base other things as known for certain such as religion and science. The most popular explanation for God to be known for certain is existence also known as ontology. The other explanations for God are Ontological, First Mover or First Cause proof and Designer. Existence proves that a first creator does exist which evolved to a designer as people used and created from which they learned from the natural world. Evidence of designer is everywhere and it mere exists as one found the object designed useful to them in the world in which they live. The study of the universe as we know it is possible the sun will not come up tomorrow, but this something we always considered we know is that the sun will come up tomorrow. I would say for certain we know dark matter as a designer presence is very well known when we see it. Our certainty has been shaped by our experiences in which we learn from. Another possible thing humans can know for certain is the universal laws and laws of existence of the natural world. The laws of the universe are used to justify theories of God and also reinforce the justification of existence. “Certainly the world remains of determined by the laws of physics.” (Motohide Saji 2009)
Producing,Teaching, writing music in a smal perspective.

These things are what I am doing at the moment. I run a productions company called Alius Productions. I do mostly producing and recording for my time. It consists of people coming for rehearsal interviews consist of seeing where the artist is at then taking to them to the next level in music by teaching and coaching. Now some come into the studio with a set plan. I turn noone away. Unfortunetly a person only has so much time :( Im working with professionals who are ready to cut records and also. I still coach a few sessions before I acually record because it also gives me time to plan out how Im going to make the needs of this band artist whomever it may be. I think all the way down to the mixing and mastering before I even hit record. A lot of my music on my pages were one takes but my company is at the point where the demand is to get the best recording possible. So in doing this it takes planning. You go step by step. Its good to have an order of the way you do things before a person steps into your studio. It makes things run a lot quicker. I use to be hours trying to get things right ending having to record because it wasnt planned out. I feel that is so important it saves on time. Get em in and get em out and mix and master and be done. Now on Composing I havent been doing that much lately unless it my studio with someone Im collaborating with which is many. I do a lot of file tranfer type stuff so I get files from around the world. Now lately I been doing more local. I like the one on one contact. I also for my enjoyment love getting these file to use thier creativity and add mine. It relaxes me. To be honest in writing I dont do that much anymore but do teach it to anyone who needs help following, timing/bpms,keys,notes of the key ect....A lot of people play by ear. Them ones I just show where to play and tell them the notes and teach or guide in that way. I get em playing to anything real fast most times. I work with some great artists. The benefit from all this is yours always learning! They teach you teach them we all win. Now for writing tracks I do that quickly. I just play around slowly and finding good and I like to play odd chords. I search till I find a set that go good. A good key to writing is knowing your keys. Know what chords/notes played in a set of maybe just 4 chords then a change up of three other chords making up same key or not doesnt matter but always know what key the music is in. First ya practice something like that til you get it sounding right the changes the time. Hint while playing dont just do what I call standard but 4/4 timing. (Most Rock Coutry ect uses 4/4 timing. Ya change it up by only counting to two then maybe the next chord four and maybe the next chord back to 2 and toss one in at a three count As you go write down what you like and sounds good. Repeating partners you made. I dont usually play patterns much I just go with the flow.. Now I take it to a classical level most everything I play I add an arpeggio. I hope this gives you an idea of how to be a better writer by not knowing much about theory. People who know Theory this will be a cakewalk How I play now is I say ok for instance it in the key of D. I know all the notes of D down the fret board. Which you can easy change doing the same patterns if you know by jumping up a full step. Now instead of a D you are now playing an E. Now one thing that always helped me is know B and C are a half step a part and E and F are a half step apart. Everything else is a full step. Notes are ABCDEFG back to A. Sharps and flats in between. Im just trying to throw things out there on every level. Some of this is basic knowledge but for the person who reads this I hope they get something out of it. I will post more later. This is my favorite club and will give more insight on many things whe
Some additional things about me

First of all thanks for looking at me and my music and my music friends on this page. I am a producer of all genres of music. I have several artists talented in many ways. I have artists from keys to vocal to collaborations and writing with other producers from around the world. I enjoy doing all different things with music. I am able to write to anything. I have so much fun with others music. Also I have 3 years college in music theory and was on a scholarship for music where I was trained one on one with teacher and mentor Brad Deroche in classical guitar. I am able to help and teach also guide people along on all aspects of music. I can take simple ideas and make them complex. For reference you may use Brad Deroche who has a doctorate in music theory and is one of the most talented and educated classical guitarist I have ever worked with. He has been my mentor ever since I met him back in 2000. I use to attend concerts in college and receive lessons from classical guitarists from around the world. I am very fortunate to feel the love there is between musicians. Some of what you see is the hatred and disrespect between artists. Im not one to hate because for one I believe its wrong and for two Mostly love from high and low places. Without some of the friends I have met through my years in music I wouldn't be here today where I am at in music without the love I have received from the people I met along the way. I want to give back ten folds the love I have received. I'm trying to help or guide anyone in anyway I know how. Everyone is at a different level in music and even though Im very busy I try to help people along and treat them with them with the same respect I have received throughout the years. Much love in music always!! Sincerely, Michael Patteen
