Zoe a.k.a ZRE is a rapper/singer born in Nottingham, UK in 1990. She first became interested in the rap scene at around the age of 9 years old when she heard her brother listening to Eminems album, she started to get really into rap and at 13 thought she would have a go at writing her own rap. After that she came across a rap forum on the internet where she began text battleing other mc's from the forum, she didnt find this quite as fun as she thought it would have been so she began writing short songs instead but as she was young she didnt keep constantly to it and drifted from it slightly for a couple of years, untill in April/May 2005 at aged 15 she got herself a cheap microphone and wrote and recorded her first proper tune, from then she would record new songs weekly just trying to get better with every one that she did. She began to take music more seriously at 16 and since then has featured on the 'Undadawgz Presents..' album (Various artists from the Nottingham area) with her tune 'Not Ur Average' and is now currently working on her first mixtape 'Young N Gifted'. She has also performed at various places around nottingham and continues to get herself heard and noticed through these events, she has also had airplay on Nottinghams new station kemet radio (97.5FM).

Why this name?
well i fort of zre because they are the initials of my name ...simple as really lol, i did think of it wen i was younger tho but just thought id stick with it
Do you play live?
Ive played live quite a few times now and as time goes on im getting more n more shows, im also now getting airplay on the radio so listen out for me
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
To be honest its ruining it, everyone is downloading music these days instead of going out and buying artists cds and therfore they are almost loosing out on money rather than gaining it, its put a big strain on the music industry because when u can get music easy and for free ur not gona go out and buy cds are u, obviously im not speaking about everyone here but the majority of people do download rather than go to the shops and buy cds anymore
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
