Why this name?
I chose the name Essence because that is what I try to represent as the essence of hip hop.
Do you play live?
I have done a few shows at UConn and Quinnipiac in CT.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has made it possible for musicians to be heard by audiences that might not have ever heard them in the past.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, but I would never change my style for anybody.
