We love to play live, we play mostly in the UK and Europe but have also played in the US.

Martin and Chrissie both started their singing careers playing floor spots at local folk clubs, moving up through 'rock' and 'country', fronting some of the most popular local bands, without ever meeting. They first performed together after an introduction in 1986, and have been together since then. In 1989 they independently released a critically acclaimed album of Martin's songs "Up Against The Wall". By the early 90's they had formed the country rock band "Cheatin' Hearts" which quickly became very popular on the British country music scene, and today are two of the best known musicians in their hometown of Bristol, England. They now perform as a duo or with their acoustic band "The Whole Band" playing a mix of covers and Martin's originals.
As well as the UK they have played in Europe and the US, including showcasing at the "Country Music Organisations Of America" annual show in Las Vegas, and the "Tennessee Country Music Association" in Gatlinburg, plus gigs in Arlington, Fort Worth, and Dallas, Texas. In 1999 they released much acclaimed album 'Sedona', and their most recent album 'Hometown' is receiving the same attention.
They have appeared on British TV and radio and their material is regularly included on European play lists.

Martin's song writing influences are what he describes as "The Texas Story Tellers" such as Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, and the late great Townes Van Zandt, among many others.
