Hailing from the Deccan Plateau of India, Manju is a Software Engineer by profession and plays synthesizer since his early teens. According to him music is a universal language which everyone can understand. Being Synthetic and Orchestral in nature, his music is a cross cultural mix of east and west and seeks refuge of his synthesizer for producing and unleashing his creative horizons.

Why this name?
Manju is not a band name. It’s my name. It’s actually a nick and short name of my full name Manjunath.
Do you play live?
Rarely. Right now I am building up repertoire of my songs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet has changed the music industry a lot in both positive and negative way. Music is an intellectual property of its creator. People distribute them over the internet without giving the credit to its creator. This is the negative aspect. Coming to the positive aspect it’s the medium where people are able to exchange music and get feedback very fast. This is great for the upcoming and non commercial artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure
Band History:
I have been composing and arranging since 5 years. And since past 1 year I am promoting my music.
Your influences?
I am greatly influenced by orchestral music and electronic music. Since I am from India I am greatly influenced by Indian music. Some of favorite musicians are Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Yanni, Elton John, Hans Zimmer, Ilayaraja etc.
Favorite spot?
Any hill station or any bank of River. Bangalore is my home and favorite city.
Equipment used:
Among synthesizers I use Yamaha PSR 3000 and Yamaha PSR 640, PC with Windows XP pro, 2.6 GHz AMD processor.
Softwares I use are Goldwave, Soundforge and Sony Acid, Ableton Live and Sony Vegas
