Formed in May 2003 by five twenty-something musicians originating from Abbeville, SC, the music of Malaki Kort can be described as energy-filled pop rock, comparable to popular artist like Taking Back Sunday and Yellowcard. Their songs are filled with lush choruses, intricate melodies, punk overtones, and slick guitar solos -- reminiscent of the glam bands that dominated the eighties. The result is a “radio friendly” sound that is molasses to the ear.
