Machina Candeo is a fire performance company from Southern California. We incorporate original music, choreography, martial arts and fire stunts into a cohesive spectacle.
Why this name?
The name means(loosely) in Latin "Glitter/glowing Machine". It is a name that incorporates union of opposites. Glowing= life, fire, energy, or soul. Machine=inanimate, lifeless, , power, the physical world.
Do you play live?
Yes! We can be seen on stages and Television in California(sometimes nationally).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Oh yes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes...but the right deal. At this point we'd make more money with self distribution or a smaller label.
Band History:
The musical side of Machina Candeo is mostly the brain child of Ty-Cy-Phy. Mr. Cy-Phy writes records and performs most of the music for the show. You can catch Ty's cakewalk interview on the cakewalk.com site.
Your influences?
Ty Cy-Phy's influences range from southeast asian music, middleastern music, industrial, techno, ambient and progressive rock.
Favorite spot?
San Fran and LA
Equipment used:
I record using Sonar 6, a ton of guitars, basses, and ethnic instruments.....plus alot of software instruments.
