Chavo: Bueno yo vengo de la tierra de Perú. Representando bien duro para toda esa gente. Tito: Yo nací en la linda tierra de Venezuela. Chavo: Prrrrra ! Como fue que el grupo se formo? Y como se conocieron ? Chavo: Bueno, Bueno yo conocí a este caballero en la escuela hace como.. Tito: Año y medio. Chavo: Sí, año y medio. Desde ese momento nos juntamos, unimos estilos y es lo que ahora viene como Playaz. Tito: Chavo y Tito! Chavo: Los dos rankiados de Montreal. Cuales fueron sus primeras influencias musicales antes de decidir ser parte de este género ? Chavo: Bueno yo personalmente, yo comenzé escuchando a Baby Rasta y Gringo, a Bebe. Gente de atrás. Tito: Yo a Vico C, gente de la vieja escuela que hicieron historia en la música del reggae. Sabemos que en este momento están trabajando en varios proyectos y con varios productores, nos podrían hablar un poco sobre eso ? Chavo: Bueno, lo que viene está bien fuerte, proximamente a la venta. Viena a nuestro modo, el disco de los Playaz. Tito: Viene Nuevo Episodio. Chavo: Viene Area 69, trabajmos con los productores: Dj Myztiko , dj Nato y tambien dj medy viene con lo de el con muchas sorpresas. Lo que viene está fuerte. Montreal se esta poniendo como debe ser. Bueno ya que han echo y abierto varios shows, nos podrían decir hasta este momento cual ha sido su experiencia más grande en la tarima? Chavo: Bueno yo creo que el concierto o show más importante para mi ha sido, el primer show de Tito y Chavo juntos como duo, porque pudimos descubrir la fución que hay entre los dos y también el show de Tego Calderon porque nos ayudó mucho a ver como se hacen realmente las cosas, profecionalmente. Que opinan sobre la manera como el reggaeton ha crecido tan rapidamente en Montreal? Chavo: Bueno el Reggae está creciendo internacionalmente. En Montreal se está dando conocer fuerte, los productores están metiendo dinero en el Reggaeton porque saben que es lo que pega. Estamos cogiendo el puesto que merecíamos gracias a esa gente grande tu sabes: Tego, Don Omar, Yankee...están llevando eso lejos. Tito: Bien pegado, bien pegado. Y ustedes sienten alguna responsabilidad en dar ejemplo o abrir las puertas a otros grupos locales que vendrán en el futuro? Chavo: Bueno eso es una ley man, porque como a nosotros nos ayudaron la gente de atrás cantando reggaeton y abriendo un poco más las puertas para lo que es el reggae ahora en Montreal. Entonces así igual para la gente que vendrá despues de nosotros, la van a tener un poco más fácil para entrar al género. Tito: Se les hace mas fácil. Chavo: Lo unico que pedimos es... Tito: Que la gente apoye el género. Chavo: Que la gente apoye el género y que lo que traigan si vienen con algo que sea calidad, es todo. Nos podrían hablar un poco de su estilo, y que es lo que diferencia los Playaz a otros grupos? Chavo: Bueno los Playaz lo que traemos es Sazón, tu sabes. Como te puedo explicar? Tito: Nosotros tratamos de traer lo mejor para el público, para la fanaticada. Chavo: Tenemos variedad, como le podemos meter un reggaeton, le podemos meter una romántica. Tito: Y Maleanteo. Chavo: Maleanteo, tu sabes. Lo que pasa en la calle. Le podemos poner un beat con congas man, y eso es algo tropical, algo con sabor, es una tremenda combinación de todo man. Sabemos que tienen varias colaboraciones en canciones con otros grupos y cantantes. Nos podrían nombrar algunos y hablarnos un poco de la experencia? Chavo: Lo que viene está caliente. Se viene el feat. Con N&C, bandido... Erin V. Tito: Punto Frío, Biónico. Chavo: Dj Medy, toda esa gente. La gente fuerte de Montreal y muchas sorpresas. Los Playaz. To start of, could you introduce your selves? Chavo: Yo Yo! Here is Chavo Playaz representing Tito: T. I. T. O. hahhaha, u know, who else? What are your origins? Chavo: I come from the Land of Peru. Representing for all my people. Tito: I was born in the beautiful land of Venezuela Chavo: Prrrrrrrra! How did the group start and how did you guys meet? Chavo: Well I met this gentleman during highschool like a.. Tito: a year and a half ago. Chavo: yeah, a year and a half. Since that day we joined our styles and that's what you now know as los Playaz. Tito: Chavo and Tito! Chavo: the illest in Montreal What were your first musical influences before deciding to get involved in this type of music? Chavo: Well I started listening to Baby Rasta & Gringo, Bebe. People from back in the days. Tito: Me, Vico C, people from the old school that made it happen for reggaeton. We know that you guys are currently working on many projects with different producers, could you tell us more about it? Chavo: Well what's coming is really hot, soon on sale. A Nuestro Modo, The playaz album. Tito: Nuevo Episodio, aswell Chavo: Area 69 also, we have worked with DJ Nato, DJ Mystiko, DJ Medy is coming with his own stuff, many surprises. Montreal is doing its thing. Since you guys have done and opened many shows, could you tell us what's been your most important experience on stage? Chavo: Well I think the most important one for me was the first Tito and Chavo concert, together as a group. We were able to discover the chemistry that we have and also Tego Calderon's show because it helped us see how things r really done professionally. What's your opnion on how Reggaeton has grown so quickly in Montreal? Chavo: Well Reggaeton is growing internationally. It's starting to get really known in Montreal, producers are investing money in Reggaeton because they know that's what people like. We are finally getting the recognition we deserve thanks to big names such as Tego, Don Omar, Yankee...They are taking it to another level. Tito: true that, true that.. Do you guys feel you have the responsability to set an example or open doors for other local groups that will come in the future? Chavo: Well that's a law. doors have been opened for us by other artists that were here before us, so we have to do the same for new groups. Tito: it becomes easier for them. Chavo: The only thing we ask is.. Tito: people to support this type of music Chavo: people to support it and to bring quality music, that's all. Can you tell us about your style and what differs los playaz from other groups? Chavo: Well what Playaz bring is Flava, you know. how can I explain it to you? Tito: We bring the best for the crowd and for the fans. Chavo: We have variety, we can bring reggaeton, romantic shit. Tito: street shit Chavo: yeah street shit u know..We can also bust on a conga beat, something tropical, with flava, a mix of everything man. We know you have many collaborations with other singers and groups. Can you name us a few and tell us about the experience? Chavo: what's coming is hot. feat's with N&C, Bandido...Erin V.
