It changes the industry in sales for artist(s) who aren't independent.If the artist(s) is signed to a major, there are a number of people who they have to pay before they receive their money and since music is very easy to get access to on the internet without paying for it the artist(s) will suffer unless their business is extra tight. Contrary to that, the internet does provide an enormous amount of exposure for underground artists and producers on the come up. Great for networking, finding others and constructing business in a more quick and orderly fashion. It has its pros and cons.

Depends on the paperwork.It's all circumstancial, not to mention the 2 year mandatory wait an artist(s) has to take before they drop. If they offer all royalties and publishing...why not? Right now as far as the industry's concerned, we don't even exist so a major wouldn't be too bad.We hear you have to get jerked at least once anyway to get where you want to.
