Well, I got my version of Jesus Is uploaded, whenever you get a chance...it's not perfect, but with me, nothing ever is or will be. LOL!

But I had fun singing it, and I dearly LOVE the message, 'cuz it's the TRUTH.

Thanks for the comment on You Can Never Go Back...it's weird how I started out singing country music in the beginning, went on to other styles, and now, I have ALOT of trouble singing that style now; honestly, I had a HARD time when I cut that one, and was surprised..and after trying several times, I had to let it go as it was.
I think it was because it was actually a man's song, rather than a woman's song..I knew that when I wrote it. LOL

Well, Kurty got his cut of Jesus Is up..and that's the first cut..I've got mine pretty well done; it's sung in a different style than how Kurt did his..I just haven't uploaded mine yet, getting finishing touches done to it.

I got David Lunbeck working on one of mine that I wrote recently called "Chosen"....what I've heard so far has sounded great...before you ask, this was one I was unable to do becuz it called for guitar playing only, it was what I heard in my head....and I was stuck, except to ask for help; and I did.

Great to hear from you..was wondering if you and family made it ok.
I have no clue why you're in Korea, either...all I know is everything happens for a reason..and His hand in ALL things, good and bad...as long as you continue to trust in Him for the outcome, things will be fine...and He is watching over you and yours.
He tells me nothing; says it will be revealed in time, but you are where you're supposed to be at this given time.

You and your family are in my prayers..as you do need them, for the help and strength.

Thank you for the kind comment on Hiding Place, and for what it's worth, I'm with Tony..I can't hear anything more that would improve Sweet Release...to do anything more smacks of perfectionism. LOL!
You gotta remember people don't hear what you hear..and any mistakes there are not detectable by anyone but YOU.
Though I'm trained to listen deep into a production, there are things I won't/don't hear, either...because they are well hidden, as they should be...but the author/producer always knows. LOL!

Kurty and me are working on a remake of his song, Jesus, retitled Jesus Is...this has been alot of fun, working on this for the past two weeks.....he's supposed to upload his solo cut sometime today when/if he gets up... and if I say so myself it is one of the best tracks I've ever worked on...and some of the best piano playing I've ever done, I was amazed at what came out as the track took shape....the Lord was good, He poured the melody changes from Kurt's original song into me..and I went with it.

I'm supposed to cover it, singing it differently than he does..and I told him I knew one more way to sing it. LOL

I think we're supposed to recruit a choir for a collab cut.

I know the project blessed me mightily; but when the Lord is in it...it's ALWAYS a blessing!

Majestic magical a real treasure of vocals. This is so much like a lost pet sounds track. Fantastic job! Well I was thinking about you and I see you are in Korea. I cant even imagine that. Tara is my world traveler she just came back from Spain and loved it. Wants to go back.

Thanks for the insightful comments on " Theres Got to be " I was going for a kind of " bell and sabastian " sound on the verses and a sort of " crowded House " on the chorus . I had fun with the B3 hammond Organ too.

Thanks for the kind comments on Touched by the Fire..I'd written it in 2005 on the tail-end of the major trial of my life.
I could have built a full-production track for it, but the instruction I got was to go for a simple arrangement, and I did that....then I got pushed to get it up for whatever reason; I wasn't told that, but someone needed it.

South Korea? Now, I bet that's different...but things will work out.

Regarding your question about God not being finished with you for awhile, the answer is this: Yes, you will be here for quite awhile longer..He has His Hand on you..and you're protected heavily..you're still needed here, not just for your family, but for others as well.

You are a Minister of His Word, some of it is through the music, but you've been used in other ways, too...He has used you many times throughout your life..and He's not done with you, John. A Chosen Vessel you are..as God marked you from the time before you were born.

The fact that you are of the Roman Catholic faith is not an issue here, God uses different people from all different religions, walks of life, to carry out His Work...and it WILL get done, one way or another.

Different people will walk in and out of your life, John, and you will have touched each one differently...you are an inspiration and a blessing to people whether you see it or not.

But God does.

I love this song. This is one of my favorites of yours. Such a catch melody driving. Dry spells? Well they happen. We can only have so much on our plate and you sir have a very full one. George Harrison once said music is endless. We can write forever if we truly want to or have the desire. He said unfortunately life gets in the way. I am paraphrasing but he understood very well that dry spells happen.

accidental or genius ? I don't think I have heard too many songs with colorful changes almost like Elvis Costello wrote this song with Brain Wilson . That razor sharp guitar solo makes it sound so fresh and cool .
