hello, welcome to the jjvoid and the chubby middleaged white boys site. if you haven't figured it out, most of the band is imaginary. actually this is the music of jim burgan but that sounds boring.
Why this name?
jj void. j-jimmy j-jocks(a play on words making fun of my fathers stage name Jacques) void(i forgot my guitar for a band job in another state it was inconvient at the least. the rest fits my age and belly.
Do you play live?
Lowell, Ma. i live with my new wife it's quite special. there is a special moment every night.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
yes it helps small musicians get exposure. though i'm not exactly small in stature just exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
sure who wouldn't. but i doubt there will be many offers. after all i'm a chubby middleaged white boy.
Band History:
i've been around forever on the fringe of the professional music business. if i had depended on the money i made at music i would be a lot thinner. presenty i am playing with the Sharpcurve Band.
Your influences?
my tastes are as eclectic as my influences. folk, classical, classic rock, country, blues, swing, texas swing, dixieland, reggae
Favorite spot?
i have to admit a desire to live in Hawaii or maybe San Diego. but i imagine i will be here in New England for awhile.

as i mentioned before i am part of a band called Sharpcurve. on monday march 13 the band was filmed by VH1 as part of a show that is part of an upcoming series to be released in june. never had that experience before. i am still having trouble convincing my wife i am now a tv star and shouldn't have to paint the house.
