Acoustic Guitar

Hi, I'm Jim Burke, from Novi, Michigan. I've written a lot of songs and want to get some of them out on the net for people to hear. Currently I am just recording at home on a four track cassette recorder, overdubbing guitars and vocals myself, so I don't have any professional quality recordings of my songs. But I hope you enjoy the songs. Please give them a listen!
Band/artist history
As mentioned above, I played in Cover Story for about three and a half years. Since then I've jammed here and there with the Swider Cellar Band, and have done a lot of writing. I don't have a band, I'm just trying to get my songs on the net so that friends and family can hear them.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I used to play live, with a band called Cover Story. We played at various bars around metro Detroit, doing (Surprise) cover songs from the 60s through the 90s. I stopped playing with them towards the end of 2000. I haven't done anything yet with my originals, but hopefully will some day.
Your musical influences
First and foremost the Beatles. Also, Hendrix, Stones, Who, Zeppelin, Johnny Winter, Ten Years After, early Fleetwood Mac, Lynnyrd Skynyrd, Allman Bros, Doors, and on and on...
What equipment do you use?
Larrivee and Epiphone acoustics, LP Studio, strat, tele, Ric 370, Marshall DSL401, Fender Deluxe Reverb, Naylor Super Club 38, TS-9, Fulltone Fulldrive.
Anything else?
That's all for now!
