Deep Water Deep Water
Driving r&b song with psychedelic slide guitar ~ "Typical of Jeza's material; A relentlessly cool groove drives the song from front to back; solid playing by talented people, and a smoky vocal style" Gods of Music
We actually recorded the CD in a small country cottage on my friend Basil's PC, using CoolEditPro software and a selection of hand-picked, gifted musical friends with virtually no studio costs. Other than raw materials, guitar strings, food and wine for the table and gas for the car .. and we had a lot of fun making it .. That was also part of the concept. wined up' was released in 1999, six of the twelve tracks have reached No#1 in completely different genre charts, on different websites, and in different countries, including Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden and Africa, and Jeza's *unique* music continues to cross international boundaries as easily as it does genres. Now featuring on 50 different websites from Argentina to Korea, and receiving airplay on over 25 global radio stations.Have you performed in front of an audience?Beatles, Paul Simon, Sting, Terry Reid, Marley, Hendrix, Clapton, 10cc, U2, CSN&Y, Gong, Tears for Fears, Peter Gabriel, Bill Withers, Cat Stevens, Traffic, Joni Mitchell, Jon Martyn, Lowell George, Blondie, Bowie, Bjork, Bolan, The Beachboys, blimey .. you tell me .. did I nearly forget Van and Steely Dan?Sorry not for the headbangers Jeza: Songwriting, rhythm guitar, vocals, djembe, bongos, Thai drum, Turkish drum, floor tom, rainstick, Indian bells, wood chimes, love triangle and assorted shakers - Luciano Albo - bass. John Hoare - lead guitar. Caroline Hoare - backing vocals. Gwyo Zepix - keyboards. Robin Gillan - banjo, fiddle, blues harmonica. Basil Brooks - production, flute, EMS synthi, tea, pot and sympathy. Recorded on a Pentium PC using CoolEditProin a way, it's a concept album about ironies and crossovers. To me this is an example of why the record industry is so dumb. These tracks are professional in every sense, catchy without being overly commercial, and well written without being over complicated. I myself would listen over and over, but presuming Jeza isn't on a record label, it's criminal. It's all about who you know, and not what you do, because if it were the latter, Jeza would be a household name by now.
