Hey... it's mostly just Doug and the songs that float around in his head, but the rest of the family helps out too.
Why this name?
It's a Family Thing, and James Gang was taken.
Do you play live?
You might catch Doug with the band Southsidas and they may do some of the music here, but Doug solo is a rare thing.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Most of the stuff on the radio nowadays sucks big, mold-covered boogers. I mean, I listen to NPR in the car just to escape the clone bands. The internet is where really good bands that get ignored can create a buzz for their music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why? I'd rather retain control of my music, thank you. That way I know MY fans won't get abused and threatened with harassment lawsuits.

What history? I've been playing my guitar for 30+ years, been with numerous unknown bands, most recently Southsidas
Your influences?
Beatles, Charlie Byrd, B. B. King, Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Clark, AC/DC, Uriah Heep, Donovan, Neil Young, Todd Rundgren, and about a thousand others.
Favorite spot?
I'm born American, Southern by grace of God, and live in Midlothian, VA because I'm one of His chosen.
