My name is J.D. Nash. I began singing, as so many do, in church. My musical influences ranged from the classic country of Haggard, Jones and Cline to the pyschodelic bands of the 60's, but my first love is Southern Rock in all it's forms.

I am a member of ASCAP and all my music is copyrighted.

I've been writing original songs since I was about 15 years old, and I'm currently working with some of the best musicians in the Midwest on my sophomore project: "So There I Was..." which is scheduled to be a 15 song CD available in the fall of 2006.
Why this name?
My name came from the fact that I was an original night club D.J. (J.D.) and the Nash is short for Nashville.
Do you play live?
I do play live whenever I can. I am fortunate enough to have a great working relationship with a local Kansas band called Backlash.

I've had the honor to share the stage with some of the most talented acts in Indian Country...Wayquay, Clan/destine, Annie Humphrey, Star Nayea and Burning Sky to name a few.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe that the use of mp3's and the internet will allow access to more genres of music to the average listener than was ever possible before. Although the hard core fans of one genre or another will be with us always...I believe that people are becoming much more eclectic in the their musical tastes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the right label were to contact me with an offer without completely bastardizing my music, yeah I would.
Your influences?
My musical influences range from the Southern Rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, The Allman Brothers and others to modern country, blues, traditional Native American and contemporary Native music.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot has got to be somewhere right around Christopher Creek, Arizona. It don't get no better than that.
