Imagine Tina Turner or Cher standing in front of The Rolling Stones or Bad Company. Got that? good. Then bring that up to date with a touch of attitude from Avril Lavigne and Pink, and a new progressive metal edge to the band, like that of Threshold.
Why this name?
Always been interested in native North American culture and it is said that the White Eagle is considered as a guardian over their sacred places.
Do you play live?
Just returning from building a family so live dates are going to be limited for awhile, but love to play live as you will hear in some of these recordings as they appear here.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Great for us to get straight to our public without having to rely on the whims of program directors at radio stations who are totally out of touch with their public.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Doubt it, unless it was a super deal.
Band History:
Debut was at the fete de la musique in Paris at the Place de Republique as an acoustic set with JP. Then we got the White Eagle Band together and played more dates as a band. In a later incarnation of the band Indi met husband to be, who joined the band as drummer.

Domestic life as a mom brought music things to a halt until recently when Indi heard JP on the radio with Barbara McDonald and started hankering to get back in to music. The result - they are now recording a follow up album. Meanwhile you can catch up with the early material on a 'Best of' compilation CD available at www.cdbaby.com/ihawkes Then catch up with a new radio session track featuring the new line up of the band.
Your influences?
All classic rock and 'Americana' material from the bands and artists mentioned elsewhere on this page + many more.
Favorite spot?
Spain
Equipment used:
A huge array of guitars and keyboards have been used by this band over the years. see if you musiphiles can spot them in the recordings ;-)
Anything else...?
The Press have said:
"A real international performer" - Gill Manley, BBC Radio.
"A new rock sensation" - Steve Carr, Western Mail, 1994
"Great singer" - Paul Masters, Independent Radio Broadcaster (UK)
