'Iechine (Pronounced 'e-ah-sheen') has only one official member, Zach Jovovich. Started in 2005, Iechine released its first CD in May of 2008.
Hailing from Columbia, SC, Iechine is a progressive metal band from an area not exactly known for the genre. Featuring odd signatures, massive low end and static drenched soundscapes, the pummeling sound of Iechine strains the listener's mind and ears to keep up.'
Why this name?
Sounded cool to me and I really wanted to avoid that monthly name change impulse that a lot of musicians get.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its not changing much these days, is it? The major shockwaves hit a long time ago, now we just have little aftershocks like RIAA and online promotion gimmicks.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course.
