Hi! This is Chris from Hurtful Case. Basically we are an alternative band reminiscent of the likes of Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Americna Hi-Fi, All American Rejects, etc. We would like to branch into other genres like hybrid, and other forms. (Such as Linkin Park, and a shoutout to Face to Face, and Chevelle.) I play lead-guitar, am the lead vocalist and in control of drums and programming. Kazan is the bassist. And Bobby, is our second guitarist.Have you performed in front of an audience?No, we haven't played live. Just dead. JK. Actually, we're in the process of organizing and bringing our band together. We have some material that we are going to try to promote and hopeful we can get some exposure.
Your musical influences
Wow.... the list is long, but I'll try to name most of them. Korn, Linkin Park, Face to Face, Chevelle, Simple Plan, American Hi-Fi, All American Rejects, Greenday, Sublime, AFI, At the Drivein, Incubus, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles (Acutally the way I learned to play guitar was a PHAT Beatles tab book), Blink 182, Box Car Racer, Radiohead, Taproot, Thursday. So it's a broad range, but mostly punk or alternative punk.What equipment do you use?
Well, we're not techno or electronica, but I'll name it off anyways. Currently, I am the only active member in the band besides Bobby. Kazan is waiting to get a bass, and then things are good to go. We're not economically challenged, but we're not a giant with it either. Our equipment is not the best nor near the best, but adequate.
I have a Crate Electra electric guitar, an old classical guitar (A pain on my fingers), a Crate amplifier with onboard DSP, and a Yamaha AM602 mixer all recorded onto a P3 600mhz computer with n-Track Studio.Anything else?
Anything else? Well, most of the songs we write come from personal experience. If not, it is meant to be a joke. The one thing about having problems with life (Well women mostly) is that you have a lot of material to work with! I would like to add some thanks to people who have helped the birth of Hurtful Case and help support it's continued infant existance. Thanks to Jose and Desiree for listening to the crappy recordings with an open mind. Thank You, Sara for reading my lyrics and being so interested in the bands progress to make this thing all worthwhile.
