Hello,
I started with the blues via rawk in the 70's.It is the root music and whilst a lot of it is three chords the potentials in there are totally limitless.

Why this name?
Houndog came from the couple of hounds that I have had over the past 10 years .Mrs Houndog started commenting on similarities...
Do you play live?
I play a lot of gigs/festivals in Scotland in an acoustic duo with my long suffering pal "Delta" Dougie Seath and we aim to record some of our acoustic tunes soon. We are also playing a jumping good cajun set .
Currently I am holding down the boom boom stick in the formidable Groovecats, great fun and some very hot jive, come up and say hello.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I have heard a lot and met a huge amount of great players and music pals over the net , sometimes I get to meet them face to face too which is always good fun.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why on earth would I punish myself in this way ?
Band History:
Always looking for that sound and technique, sometimes even in public !
Your influences?
I still can't get my head round Ms.Fred McDowell and Robert Johnson.
Ry Cooder is also a inspiration.

Favorite spot?
Scotland and New Orleans, one is entrenched calvinistic subtle humour and music and the other is wild happy town which saw every musical great pass down it's streets.
Equipment used:
My hands.
Anything else...?
I am slowly moving towards another cd " Original Snake Sin Music". Which will cover all my own stuff, some slide some Scottish and hokum.
