Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Hotel Eden is not an antebellum manor or rooftop lounge in the city- rather, the walls of Hotel Eden are built from the music and voice of Kelly Warner, the proprietor of this one man band.
Full of head-nodding energy, Hotel Eden sits atop layers of beats and harmonies and anything else that can fits into these rooms of irreverent, electro-pop beauty. Once one half and co-producer of the former Lab Rats (Columbus), Kelly continues to meld genres, pulling from a variety of influences including Beck, Kings of Convenience, The Beatles, David Gray, Beastie Boys, Norman Cook, Radiohead, and Feist.
Hotel Eden music travels across the genre map but most centers on a deep-meshed combination of unique singer/songwriter vocals based in keyboard driven pop with a super-danceable groove.

Why this name?
It was inspired by the work of Joseph Cornell, a pioneering assemblage artist from New York. I really like his stuff.
Do you play live?
Definitely. Live shows are where it's at. Up until January of 2008 I was 1/2 of The Lab Rats and we did quite a few shows. Great times. Now I'm performing as Hotel Eden and look forward to a great experience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The arrival of the mp3 really changed things. Major label deals became more of a step in a process than the end-all fulfillment of a dream. "Deals" are perceived more as a building block as opposed to an all-inclusive vacation to the stars. In this day of accessible media and recording/production technology (software, gear, etc.), artists have to fight harder to be seen because there's so much music out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I appreciate hard work and people who believe in music, whether they're major or indie. There are music lovers and dedicated people at all levels in the music industry and I love working with them.
