Henta by name and by nature!

Played at Critical Mass in Seattle in June and Burningman in August 2006, followed by a number of different gigs in Seattle this year.

right now, the internet has helped me to broaden my horizons and walk through some very interesting doors and into new musical collaborations with artists like LudingtonGT (see my music page) and Dave Miles Huber (www.51bpm.com) - check out 'Oceanis' on both his site and also www.henta.co.uk

never say never ... i'm very independent

I am a singer/songwriter and have written songs for about 20 years. Although classically trained on piano, I progressed to keyboards ranging from a Yamaha SY55 to a Roland XP-80 which I have continued to use as my mother keyboard. I also still own a baby grand piano which my parents generously gave me when I was 16.
I now have Cubase 4 set up at home and mostly use virtual instruments in my compositions.
Music is my true passion and vocation and I tend to write from the heart, from personal experience and influence of others who come into my life. I write both secular and spiritual songs and hope that my music touches people in some way.

Collaborations and influences:

I've been in a number of bands and collaborated with other musicians and sound engineers on projects in varying styles of music from ballads � rock - dance - trance - drum & bass and meditation. I have also composed and released much production library music for Northstar Music and Stock International, many of which often crop up on the Discovery Channel.
I was also a finalist in Unisong 1999.

People seem to think i sound a bit like Dido, the Cranberries, Everything But the Girl. I like to move between acoustic and dance. Some of my biggest influences have been Talking Heads, Underworld, St Germain, EBTG, Faithless, Peter Gabriel, Counting Crows, Eat Static, Kate Bush

well i like Seattle where i now live :-)
