NEWS   I'm re-releasing my album (the physical CD) in the first week of July 2008.

While working in a frenzy on the next two wink ;) I'm always busy, me.

I'm planning another side project (Quenya Electronica) but restraining myself from actually working on this for now because I really need to finish the 'Awakening' CD first!

Hello! I'm a solo composer, songwriter, recording artist and producer of ethereal fae/folk-pop and neoclassical type music.
Why this name?
Well. It's my name. :)
Do you play live?
I don't play live. Yet. I am beginning to think I should (even though it's scary!). I'm currently trying to get recruit a cellist and a violinist for live performance work. Me and the piano (and sometimes prerecorded backing) would work, but I think a couple of instrumentalists would magic it 100 times better :)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes everything!
It has really opened up the industry so that everybody can be heard, not just those who are lucky enough to make it big. With the internet, ANYONE can make music and find their niche. 'Tis good.

The downside of everybody and their dog making music and releasing it on the internet is that we are all bombarded with new music from every side all the time. I don't know if all the consequences of that are ALL good. It's still a relatively new thing so we will have to wait and see what becomes of it all.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No no no no no.
Sign my creative freedom away?
I despise the money-hungry business side of the industry and want nothing to do with it.
Your influences?
As well as my own life experiences (of course), I'm heavily inspired by poetic imagery, ancient mythology, fairytale and Eastern philosophies.

Musical artists who inspire me are many and varied. I don't try to "sound like" anyone in particular, but I think I probably end up taking things from everything I'm blown away by. People have drawn parallels to Yoko Kanno, Vienna Teng, Emilie Autumn and Tori Amos. I don't know what to make of that, but maybe it's helpful. :-)
