Started out at a DJ at Essex Univ spinning reggae and soul in the late 1970's with Daddy D, Nasty G, Skev and Jah Andy and weekly radio shows on URE - my first taste of a radio station. From there went into music when I moved back to London....Dabbled in bands but went solo as I disliked the ego clashes and pettiness...1990 first single, totally self financed, 500 white labels and my bank manager was shocked when I paid back the overdraft in 2 months.








From there made more singles, grew in popularity and evenuntaully returned home to Cyprus, after 33 years in Blighty. Things took off for me in Cyprus in 1992/93..the rest, history...


•Released various 12” singles 1990 –1993 ‘As’Ta Narkotika’, ‘Mousiki’ ‘Stavroulla’ ‘Vragaman’ & ‘Chakaramak’








•Toured UK 1990-94, including WOMAD, Jazz Café, Ronnie Scott’s and Brixton Academy
•Featured artist on debut LP by Izit ‘The Whole Affair’ on tune ‘Sugar & Spice’ Tongue & Groove Records 1992.
Appeared on BBC TV's Rhythmns of the World' featured on John Peel & Andy Kershaw + several live sessions for these mighty radio jocks.

•Released 3 solo CDLP’s to date, ‘Haji Mike on the Mike’ KKM 1994 ‘Aphrodite’s Dream’ HMP 1997 and 'The StoryMan' Olive Tree Music 2006.

•Negotiated publishing and distribution contracts on behalf of Olive Tree Music with IDC (Independent Distribution Collective), IODA (Independent Online Digital Alliance) and Corsair Media, Los Angeles, USA.
•Media Director, Cyprus Splash Concert, featuring Blue, Big Brovaz, & Javeen July 2005
•Executive Producer CD single ‘Music Is Joy’ on behalf of Olive Tree Music with support from UNDP.
•Executive Producer CD single ‘Safe Sex – Just Do It’ on behalf of RUBSI with support from UNDP as part of World International AIDS Day.
•Completed 3rd solo LP ‘The StoryMan’ released May 2006 – produced by Stand Out Selector, Tony Matthew, CES-ONE and Haji Mike. Recorded in San Francisco, Athens, London and Nicosia. USA tour July 2006 with Karney, SOS & P4P Riddim Section Band.

Also Phd in Cultural Studies from CCCS Birmingham (RiP) and teach at The University of Nicosia, as an assistant professor in Communications. Have freelanced as a writer and radio broadcaster for a couple of decades, with work for Straight No Chaser, Hip Hop Connection, Reggae Report USA, Radio Broto, Radio Napa, CyBC 2. Don't do radio right now, turned my selections to Podcasting which I find a lot more liberating - no playlists and people in managerial positions who know nothing about music. I also find time to write a weekly column in The Cyprus Mail called 'from the sublime to the ridiculous' every Saturday check
