hi, i'm greg ralls, a singer/songwriter/pianist from philadelphia, pennysylvania. i have recorded 130 of my best songs from 1984 to the present, and posted them here in chronological order. these are imperfect and fairly rough piano/vocal versions, but i felt that i wanted these songs to see the light of day (and your ears) as soon as possible.
all of my songs are available for free download. i just want people to hear my music, so do not feel guilty if you download all of them for free. :-)

Why this name?
i was born with this name, ha-ha...no stage names yet, though i have a few alter egos that might show up later.
Do you play live?
i love live shows, and plans are underway for a return to the live scene around the philadelphia area by the summer. my biggest gig to date was probably at the tin angel in philadelphia on march 1, 2006. i can be occasionally be heard on wilmington, delaware's wstw 93.7 fm sunday nights. mark rogers is the host of their show, hometown heroes, from 9-11 pm. i've been an in-studio guest twice since 1999. i've also backed up tiffany & christine and company for live performances on that same radio station. my old band, buzzfactor, opened for firehouse back in the 90s.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i think it's great...lets more people hear my music, anyway.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
sure would...i'd be very interested in dealing with anyone who might help further my career.
Band History:
i've been singing since i could talk, and writing songs since my early teen years. i have written over 300 songs, and have posted the best 130 or so here for your listening pleasure.
Your influences?
i love singing most of all, followed by playing the piano, followed by songwriting. some of my favorites from over the years are dan fogelberg, ben folds, dylan mcguire, vienna teng, laura shay, depeche mode, beppers, elton john, david the mangler showers, tori amos, nine inch nails, electric light orchestra, loreena mckennitt, jeff buckley, radiohead, john ann thelma, michael w. smith, george winston, kansas, ray charles, hung ching, shudder to think, craig wedren, icehouse.
Favorite spot?
#1 - aruba, #2 - san diego
Equipment used:
i have a yamaha baby grand in my house, for live shows i play a roland a-90. i am recording these songs using a tascam 8-track recorder.
Anything else...?
i am getting married this month (march 2008)!
