I am a third year student of music composition at LSU, studying with Dr. Dinos Constantinides.
Why this name?
It's just lil old me, not a band!
Do you play live?
I sometimes perform in ensembles that play my music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that it is extremely important to a composer's ability to move forward in the industry in this day and age.
Band History:
I grew up playing organ and clarinet and still play/perform on clarinet. Writing music is my true passion though!
Your influences?
I'm influenced greatly by the music of Prokofiev and I have a love of jazz. I also very much enjoy Messiaen, Milhaud...and many more!
Favorite spot?
I love Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Portland, ME.
Equipment used:
I use a casio px-110 keyboard, my clarinet, pencil, paper, and my computer with NI Bandstand (none of my music here is a live performance...sigh) and Sibelius to notate final copies of written music.
Anything else...?
I am in the process of compiling more recordings and pieces to put on my page, I just haven't done it yet. I'll be adding Scherzo for Flute and Strings performed by the Louisiana Sinfonietta; Karasoke, my piece for full orchestra; and A new flute piece in addition to a recording of an old one. I'd like to just have live performances on this page if possible rather than computer generated mp3's. Now I just have to get more stuff performed...
