Heavy Industries: From way back when the concept of netlabel was at its beginning, Heavy Industries seems to have stood its ground from the minimalist wave that took techno by storm at the time and was to be embraced by so many later on, for good or worst. The sounds you'll find on HI are sometimes pounding, sometimes melodious, often simultaneously both and yet so relevant today, especially in a time when techno could use less minimal tricks and more substance and soul. Another sale, with price drop!: I have sold my second CD, thanks to the talent show! I did an act where I construct a little loop onstage, using a random audience member's voice as an instrument and a drum, explaining what I'm doing, all in 5 minutes. It was a hit! Mrs. Wells, the English teacher (who let me borrow her laptop when it turned out Breanna couldn't lend me hers that day), not only bought a CD for her husband, who really loved the piece I did, but she's also going to leave Renoise installed on her computer so she can figure it out!
