Why it's called Patrick Lew's Band on SoundClick: I got into Heavy Metal music at the age of 6 when I was at home watching MTV Headbangers Ball on TV. Such bands I liked were Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, KISS, Motley Crue and OBVIOUSLY. Bay Area Thrash. Because my hometown of San Francisco and the East Bay was known for Heavy Metal music like that in our local musicians and local music community. But what really did it for me was Grunge and 1990s Alternative Rock such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins at the age of 7 or 8.
