New track, all acoustic featuring classic, 12 string, and resonator guitars, tin whistle, and accordion. A love song really, not typical for Schumacher, yet turned out quite nice.
I play a variety of cover tunes ranging from The Beatles to Frank Sinatra and John Couger. I also perform original songs that are heavily influenced by The Beatles, Harry Chapin and James Taylor.
We write and perform acoustic folk rock and traditional country music that strives for an old sound that still resonates with a modern feel and message. Most of the songs are about people that struggle but still believe in a better future.
New song: Southern Fried In Mexico w/Harry Edgar: This is a demo, and I think I am going to re record the song with Harry again. There is a small glitch when I hit the guitar while playing, but you can listen now and you will have a good idea of a vision of getting away from stress, relaxing in Mexico then go out and just get drunk and have fun. Walk on the beaches, drinking Hot Damn and Black Velvet then head to the club and get Southern Fried in Mexico....
I hope this works!: I just started writing songs about a year ago. I have about 10 songs but none that are what I would call finished. I'm hoping that this forces me to finish them and post them. I suffer from cheesy lyric syndrome. I always feel that my lyrics aren't strong and that the songs are not up to par. I'm trying to convince myself that I'm doing this for fun and who cares. We shall see.
Added a new song and one on the way!: My voice isn't very good to begin with and this recent cold has made it even worse. But I need to take advantage of quiet time around the house when I have it.
My latest addition is called "Everyday Should be a Sunday." It's about how laid back and relaxing Sunday is. I will soon be adding a light hearted song called "I hate the Mall," which is pretty self-explanatory. Hope ya like them. I plan on recording them better another time when i get a better recording studio situation set up....
