First place and a happy day: Hi all, I had a great day yesterday. I went to a festival in Manchester Michigan, where I was entered into a songwriting contest. I took along two good friends and great musicians from the bluegrass band the "Hillrays", Jim and Mark, who played fiddle and guitar with me on my original song, "The Riverside". It just about made me cry when they called my name as the first place winner, lol. I got a beautiful gold embossed certificate, a blue ribbon, $100 dollars, and got to perform on the "big stage" later lol.
