The internet is capable of putting the power of music back into the hands of the listeners. I remember the days when one of my friends would bring me a fourth generation tape of a scratched up record and say, "You have to listen to this band, they're incredible!" With mp3 technology, and e-mail, the fourth generation of listeners can hear their personally recommended music just as clear as the first. And so can the fortieth...
