Why this name?
My name is Ruby Ibarra. Fobanese is my AIM Screen name.
Do you play live?
In the shower each morning!

But to put all jokes aside, I've performed live on a few occassions so far -- mostly for school functions such as projects, poetry slams and talent shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has certainly allowed undiscovered talent to be heard by the public.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Once I feel confident enough in my work to be able to pursue this professionally, then I would in a heartbeat.
Band History:
I'm very passionate about my craft and I look forward to learning from other artists and receiving any critique I can get in order to improve as a lyricist and beatmaker. I take this art as a life-long process in that the stories in my songs will change through my experiences and my technique will naturally shift as I grow as an artist. I think I am very much different from other rap artists in that my topics veer away from the music industry's current pop culture norm of "drugs, sex, and violence." I think I am going against all odds by being both female and Asian, which are very much under represented in the rap scene. However, I certainly do not want to merely be classified under such categories as I am ultimately a lyricist and I want the music to speak for me.

I began rapping nearly 6 years ago and I still continue to write lyrics and record if time permits. I am still reaching to perfect this craft and I am open to working with other artists.
