Flak is straight up, straight to the point, hard worker, family man. He has an insight on personality (great discernment); can tell what kind of person you are just by meeting you.
Flak has a unique bio/profile. He's been musically inclined since birth, practically. His parents were music educators who birthed two musical geniouses!
Flak started performing live in the band, "Bailey and the Boys" in 6th grade, playing saxophone. Played in concert band in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, which was part of the James E. Pope project. Played alto and tenor saxophone in concert and marching bands in high school. During this time he learned to play trumpet, drums, flute, bass guitar, and various percussions. Was in Who's Who In Music and the Honors Band all 4 years of high school, under the direction of C B Bailey, Jr. Played with H2O Band. Started as a sound engineer with Precise Band, then progressed to playing saxophone for the band.
After being away from music for about 5 years during military service, Flak met his wife, Karen, who gifted him with his first keyboard. This is what catapulted him into writing music.
From time to time, Flak has played with various local bands in local night spots. He answered the call to write for the Lord, then started kickin' it with his brother, Alan B, at What Da Word Say Records. This is the great history of "Flak"!
Just let me know where. I most definitely love it! My special moment was playing saxophone at my grandparents' 50th anniversary.
