Born in Alliance, OH and currently attending Hiram College, Fionna began playing the guitar in the summer of 2002. No stranger to songwriting, a week after being given the acoustic guitar she now calls "Woody," Fionna wrote her first song on the guitar while still in the process of teaching herself how to play. One year later, and armed with all originals, Fionna got her first paid gig and hasn't stopped since.
Do you play live?
Playing live is ESSENTIAL to my enjoyment in the music scene. There's nothing like a live performance, because you not only get to hear the emotion, but you get to see it as well, and that experience always takes the music to new heights (unless you're really bad live).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it OH SO fabulously. If it weren't for the internet, we'd be forced to listen to the majority of the music that is currently being crammed down our throats by the "big bad" major record labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably. (Ya know...you gotta keep it real.) ;)
Your influences?
Jonatha Brooke, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, The Dixie Chicks, G-Love and the Special Sauce.
Anything else...?
You should take a second to check out the band, "Jerks in Jeans."

They're friends of mine (out of Cleveland), and not only do they know how to truly ROCK it, but they are also a deeply intellectual and stimulating bunch to be around...no, really--they are. ;) :D
