Err was started when I found a simple mixing program, downloaded a few samples, and threw them together into the first Err track ever. At the time, I didn't even call it Err. But I thought it was the best track evar. Until I didn't do anything with it, listened to it 8 months later, and had to ask myself "What the hell was I thinking?" I figured if I couldn't make something better than that, I should be shot. Or have my speakers taken away, or something. So I made my first track, Warning. Left Err alone for a while again, and came back to it, and decided Warning really wasn't that bad, and I made a few more. Invaders, Are you with it?, and Power Up. After I made those, I left Err alone again, and came back another few months later and made another 3 tracks. All 3 were so horrible, I won't disgrace the internet by describing them.
Why this name?
I came up with Err, because it's a cool name, and it's something like Eric, my real name. Nothing like a little indentity in your life.
Do you play live?
Er, no.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
With the internet, anyone can sit down at their computer, grab a guitar, mic, or keyboard, and make music. Granted, they could do that before. But, unless it was great, it would never get heard by anyone, ever. Sometimes not even then. Actually, often not even then. But with the internet, everyone can get their music heard, whether or not it's even good be tolerable
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Er, if they were dumb to try and sign me, I guess.
Your influences?
Mouse on Mars quite a bit. DJ Tiesto was a pretty big influence. Really, the sound I go for is just a culmination of everything I've heard and liked in my life.
Favorite spot?
Northeast, baby. We are the hardcore.
Equipment used:
Equipment? I'm too broke for "equipment" I use different mixing programs. Never the same one for long, I change when I find one I like better, or that can more easily do what I want the next track to sound like. I've finally paid for a few programs, so I try and get my money's worth with those.
Anything else...?
No, except I'd like to mention that I will probably abandon this alot, and come back every once in a while with new tracks. Just so you know. =)
