Eric Gwin (he's the attractive fellow in the picture) is a "Progressive Multi-vocalist" (He made that term up). He is a firm believer in the idea that God created each of us for a purpose. Eric believes that his purpose is to use his musical talents for the glory of God, all the while pushing the "sonic envelope" as far as he can by creating music that is truly original, innovative, and unlike any you've ever heard.
Band History:
Eric began as a vocalist and songwriter for a couple of Christian A Cappella groups throughout the late 80s and 90s, and then struck out on his own in 2000. In 2001, he released his first solo CD, a 6-track EP entitled "Refuge" on his own "Spectacle Entertainment" label. Apart from his daughter's "in-utero" heartbeat on the last track, every voice and sound on the CD was performed by Eric, and all the sounds were vocally or anatomically produced.
In 2002, he released 2 more CDs on the "Spectacle" label: "Words of Truth", which is a sampler EP of tracks from his former group, "Q", and "Eric Gwin presents...Songs from the Vault", a full-length compilation CD of rare and unreleased tracks from the groups he's worked with ("Q" and "Ariel").
In late 2005, Eric released his first full-length solo album, "The Calling", which took his acappella musical approach to new heights, venturing into the world of modern rock, R&B, and even hip-hop.
In November of 2007, Eric released "Fresh Hope: Reflections on the Birth of Jesus". It is a collection of 10 original praise-and-worship songs that focus on one of the greatest events of all time-- The Birth of Christ. although it is a full-length album, Eric doesn't consider it to be the "follow-up" to 2005's "The Calling" because it's so different from his other albums.
Currently, Eric is busy working on a follow-up to "The Calling", running his recording studio, "The Cage", and producing projects with other artists for his "Spectacle" label. He also records and performs as one half of the acoustic/ vocal duo "Thirty-Three and a Third" (with songwriting partner David Savage). "Thirty-Three and a Third" released their debut project, a 5-track demo CD, in February of 2004.
