Hey, it's me JCD. I started out rapping after listening to my friend JiLt's (now known as Chris Cookz) raps and loved them. I always had loved rap and wanted to see if I could make some songs that sounded real too. He helped me with everything and still does to this day. I have developed a unique style I think. I write a lot about emotions I feel and stuff going on in my life at that moment.
Why this name?
JCD, sounded cool to me. It doesn't stand for anything at the moment, but that doesn't mean I can't come up with something in the future. I also go by the name J-Caps, which is the first letter of my first name and the first 3 of my last name.
Do you play live?
I rapped live at a friend's graduation party once and would love to do more live performances.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is great, because it gives us the ability to get free beats and focus on improving our rapping skills and isn't too expensive to get started. Plus, people can hear your songs online for free without it costing you or them anything.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, definately.
Your influences?
2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, The Game, Nas, Jay-Z, Fort Minor, Flipsyde
